California girl denies romance with Prince Harry

The California girl who has found herself drawn into a romantic tale with Prince Harry wants to set the record straight.

“I am not sleeping with Prince Harry and he has never been anything other than a total gentleman to me,” Jessica Donaldson told the Mail on Sunday.

JessicaDonaldson very quickly became a tabloid sensation when her identity was revealed after some pictures last week showed her getting cozy Harry at a VIP lounge in San Diego.

If she didn’t know it before, Donaldson got a lesson in the dangers of sniffing around a marriage-eligible royal.

"I am very upset that all this has blown up,” said Donaldson. “He is just a regular guy who enjoys a few beers with his buddies.”

Donaldson, who was quickly labelled a Kate Middleton lookalike, describes herself as a “bottle girl” at the Ivy Nightclub, where Harry went a few weeks ago with friends from the El Centro air base where he is training on Apache helicopters.

“I waited on his table and he was charming and chatty but he was charming to all the girls,” said Donaldson.

She and a few other girls met Harry and friends again the next day for brunch. A week later, they were invited to a Solano Beach club, where they danced.

The tale gets a little more interesting here. The Mail says Harry rented a room at a local hotel and a girl who looked like Donaldson was seen arriving at the hotel and leaving the next morning.

"No, no, that wasn’t me,” protested Donaldson, 26. “It must have been another girl. I am sure Harry has lots of girls."

To put an exclamation point on the whole affair, she had her boyfriend of three years tell the paper that he believed her.

Donaldson now just wants “all this to go away.”

Chances are there’s one number Harry can scratch from his little black book.

"He’s really cool and down-to-earth and that’s what I liked about him,” she said. “I’m flattered he showed me attention, but there is nothing more to it than that."

Harry, as usual, is mum on the subject.
