Who would make a great Snow White?

Pippa Middleton’s name sprang to mind for many of the more than 2,000 people polled in the UK to determine some real-life counterparts to fantasy characters.

SNOW WHITE

In fact, Pippa beat out her big sister Kate, who, one would suspect, would have been a more logical choice as a princess (but without the seven dwarfs, unless there’s some hiding out in their Wales home).

Pippa was named "the fairest in the land" by 14 per cent of those polled, tying with Emma Watson of Harry Potter fame. The Duchess of Cambridge finished third with 13 per cent. We're still trying to figure out who might play the role of evil stepmother in this Pippa fantasy, though there are probably several candidates who could play Dopey or Grumpy.

Others in the running were Cheryl Cole (11%), Lady Gaga (7%) and British X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos (5%).

PRINCE CHARMING

In another category, it was Kate’s husband who managed to land a role as a fantasy Prince Charming, right next to singer Peter Andre (both at 13%) and ahead of Prince Harry (12%).

FANTASY VILLAIN

It was no contest at all for a fantasy villain: X-Factor’s Simon Cowell is runaway evil (27%), far outdistancing model Katie Price (15%) and Manchester United soccer player Ryan Giggs, who has been caught in several extra-marital affairs. Another fellow who has had women troubles, Tiger Woods, managed to sneak onto the list as well, at 10 per cent.

The survey was done by YouGov for a ticket giveaway promotion by Sainsbury's supermarkets.
