Cunning little symphony turns to Twitter to market upcoming Janacek opera

Wanting to cash in on opera's cachet, the New York Philharmonic is presenting Leos Janacek's wonderful Cunning Little Vixen starting June 22.

How to market something that the concert presenter doesn't normally do?

Unleash a virtual vixen onto the streets of New York City to Tweet to her hearts content.

Sound silly? Within an hour of appearing on Twitter this afternoon, our vixen had more than 12,000 followers.

My favourite follower response so far? Megoceleste's "Janacek yoself before you wreck yoself"

Not bad.

Check out the Twitterbabble here.
