Jody Vance heads home to work for Michael Landsberg

Sports announcer Jody Vance, last seen hosting for Leafs TV, is heading back to the West Coast. She'll be part of the new Shore 104, an FM radio station that will launch June 1.

``We're not happy to be leaving Toronto but we're thrilled to be heading home for a great opportunity," says Vance, who will be part of her third launch. She was at VTV when it went on the air in Vancouver and was in the house for Rogers Sportsnet's first year. ``It's so exciting to be part of something special like this."

Vance and husband Bart Given, until recently the assistant general manager of the Toronto Blue Jays, have sold their Toronto home.

Shore 104 has an interesting cast of backers, including TSN host Michael Landsberg and his former producer, Bob Mackowycz Jr.

Vance said she's not at liberty to reveal her role. The station will focus on adult album alternative rock.

It is not known if the station will have glass-topped desks like the one Vance sat at on the Sportsnet set.
