Greg Brady leaves 640 and heading to The FAN 590
Greg Brady, host of 640 Toronto's Bill Watters Show, has left the station and is heading to the rival FAN 590, sources say.
All links to Brady's blogs on the 640 website have been removed. The FAN has called a staff meeting today, at which it's presumed Brady's arrival will be announced.
It's not clear what role he will take on, but his arrival likely means some sort of shakeup in the station's lineup.

Maybe McCown is getting outsted. He is beginning to get stale with me. While Brady grates on me at times, I find during the ride home I am more prone to listen to him than McCown as the latter has lost any relevance.

Really disappointed that Hogan got the axe. He seemed to be one of the saner heads around there, and would actually talk about sports other than hockey. I thought he had interesting topics for the most part and always conducted good interviews, asked good questions, and actually seemed interested in what people were saying, no just pushing his own agenda
Best of luck Mike!

I see the FAN website is already being overhauled - references stripped down to "The FAN 590 Morning Show" and "The FAN 590 Midday Show", although the 1:00 update just referred to it as "The Mike Hogan Show".

I'm guessing that the return of John Derringer can't be that far away......who else is in the stable ..........

Bio's for Landry, Stellick and Hogan are gone...

Disappointed with Hogan getting released. I think that mistake will come back to haunt Don Kollins. His topics were varied and his first hour topics for conversation were as good as it gets.
Also, they should have kept the afternoon show together. At least with Coach Armstrong and Eric Smith you had a chance to hear about all the major sports, not just hockey.
Good luck guys!

Hogan was one of the best. Great interviews. Very engaging topics and no stupid cliches and put ons. Very sad he is leaving and cringing at what we may get in his place.

Hogan was one of the few sportscasters in Toronto who was actually a fan of the sport of football.
Not of these bandwagon guys who only talked about the NFL because they figure its the "in" thing to do.
Hogan liked CFL and NFL. As well as CIS, juniour football and highschool football. And he knew the game as well.
With him gone, there's very few real knowledgable football types left in the Toronto media.

I'm disappointed with the changes. Too bad really. I'll miss Hogan/Stellick. At least Hogan talks about sports that aren't spelled "hockey". I mean even the most die-hard Leafs fan must get bored with all the hockey/Leafs talk. There is only so many times one can hear about Thomas Kaberle.

I will miss Hogan. Get with the call ins. I hope the changes were about how to present sports rather than saving money.

I'm in the demographinc that the Fan is hoping to capture (male 25-59) and they've lost a listener with the changes made yesterday. I tune into sports radio to hear about sports...I can get celebrity news and gossip at numerous other outlets. Yesterday's moves are the death of sports radio in Toronto. Now we have commentary on what Paris Hilton is doing and Leafs, Leafs, Leafs. They want to go to quicker commentary so we'll get to hear that Colton Orr has been moved to the 3rd line 10 times a hour. This just promotes channel changing...I hope the Fan's advertisers realize that nobody will be sticking around to hear their commercials.
Hogan was one of the few people who actually provided thoughtful sports commentary and not the latest gossip on Tiger Woods/Ben Roethlisberger. Good luck to him, wherever he lands I will listen

I`ve been a FAN590 listener since 1430 days, It was on 24/7 except for -CFL -Soccer shows and the Mike Hogan show sometimes.
I will miss the morning show boys -up here in Owen Sound-our radio choices are nil for entertainment.I was just glad I was able to pick up 590 as our AM-station is 560 -and in some areas in proves hard to pick up the FAN,I even brought my radio when we were looking at homes to buy just to see if I was able to pick up 590 the Fan.
Rodger needs to be on the air a little less, too much Rodger..

UNBELIEVABLE THIS IS BS I AM FINISHED LISTENING TO THE FAN

Never try to fix something that's not broken. It's not like ratings were terrible, they were decent. I don't understand the firing. Don and Gord could've moved to another time slot or stayed with the station working in some capacity.

It sounds like the Fan doesn`t have a clue what there doing. They should have fired Stellick but not Landry.

Add me to the list of those disappointed by yesterdays moves - remember the " Sports Babe " Can just see that they are going to try and add hype to their programming, Not going to work with me - sure the slow pitch and local curling reports got a little folksy - but they were a whole bunch better than ESPN format. If I want Leafs, Leafs - will buy Leafs TV - not
Let's hope they they do not tick off McCown - listened to him since the mid 70's
Just retired and got $ to spend - but not on 590 advertisers as I will not be listening to anything but McCown !!!

I can't believe what is taking place. I listen to the Fan for interesting sports talk and interviews. Getting rid of Mike Hogan is a huge miscalculation. Mike always interviewed his guests well and balanced out the hockey topics with his passion for other sports like football. I don't know where the powers to be got their information to base this decision, but they have grossly miscalculated. I won't be listening to the Fan anymore. Hello WGR 550 Buffalo for sports...

As a female regular FAN listener, I am very sad to see Mike Hogan and Don and Gord go, esp. Mike. I hope they aren't turning this into some dumb "guys talk for guys" radio. Why is Bob's show successful? It's intelligent and interesting and can be liked by females and males alike. I hope they figure that out.

Good riddance to Hogan. Maybe the cfl can give him a job. All he ever talked with any passion about was the cfl, carolina hurricances and phillly eagles. Two words about those topics.....................WHO CARES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
