It's not looking so good for Australia and Nicole

Nicole Due to the pesky Thanksgiving (leaving me with nothing to work with today), yesterday was movie opening day. One of the hyped movies was Nicole "I Can't Move my Face" Kidman's Australia. But it did not live up to anyone's expectations. It scored a lousy 52 per cent at Rotten Tomatoes, and, according to Deadline Hollywood, the Baz Luhrman epic only made it to seventh place at the box office yesterday. "... the big surprise was the mere 7th place opening Wednesday of 20th Century Fox's sweeping period epic Australia with only $2.5M from 2,642 theaters. This means that Fox was right to predict only $13M for the 3-day weekend and $18M for the 5-day holiday. Rival studios who thought the pic could do $25M and finish No. 4 are quickly pronouncing the pic DOA with a debut like this." Snap.

And what movie took first place, you ask? Why that would be the movie starring the hair, of course. In second was Four Christmases (a dismal 26 per cent at Rotten Tomatoes). Bolt was third, Quantum of Solace fourth and Transporter 3 (35 per cent at Rotten) came in fifth. Madagascar 2 came sixth. Sean Penn's Milk was ninth, but scored a very impressive 92 per cent fresh reviews.

yay for the hair! Is that all people notice? Yes its true thats all there is to Rob unless he can distract us from it by doing something else - like cutting it off... no it'll still be about the hair.

Stargazing blog by Malene Arpe

  • Malene’s interests and hobbies include Schadenfreude, sci-fi and fantasy (good and bad alike), hilarious hair pieces, age-inappropriate celebrity crushes, messed-up starlets, waiting for the next Star Trek movie, hating Björk, creative profanity, disobedient robots, fake celebrity relationships, post-apocalyptic dread, singing super-villains, baseball, David Beckham (but only when he keeps his mouth shut), vampires and knitting tiny sweaters for her seven cats. That’s not true. Maybe.
