Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz welcomed a son yesterday. His name is Bronx Mowgli Wentz, which will assure him a painful childhood full of taunting and school yard beatings. There is as of yet no photos of the little guy (something I'm confident will be rectified by People Magazine in short order), so instead, here are, well, The Bronx and Mowgli. I'm sure his parents chose the name because they know that once their careers go down the drain, that's as close to a BMW as they're going to get.
Canada doesn't think Vincent and Arassay can dance I missed So You Think You Can Dance again this week, but I'm still irate that Vincent and Arassay are gone. More here.
If you think your family is a train wreck and you're dreading the holidays ... you may want to go check out Festen at the The Berkeley St. Theatre. It's playing until Dec. 13 and stars, among others, Eric Peterson, Rosemary Dunsmore and Nicolas Campbell. I went to the premiere last night and had a very good time. I liked the play better than Richard Ouzounian, whose two and a half star review you should read here. However, one thing that bothered me about the execution of the play, which is based upon the Danish Dogme film, The Celebration - and I'm probably the only one who noticed - is that apparently no one thought it might be a good idea to learn how to pronounce the Danish names. Anynitpickery, we sat next to Paul Gross, and may I just say: Great laugh.
No more Pushing Dirty, Sexy Eli It's goodbye to Pushing Daisies, Dirty Sexy Money and Eli Stone. I've never watched Eli Stone, so I couldn't care less, but I really like Pushing Daisies, mainly because it's so beautiful to look at. The quirk is a bit too much to take, but there is no show more visually arresting. And I really, really like Dirty, Sexy Money's Dynasty-like, night-soap, over-the-top, rich people silliness. That's too bad, Eli Stone was actually pretty good....and it looked like it had a lot of good stuff planned.
Wasn't big on Pushing Daisies though.
