Soooo ... it now looks like David Carradine did not, as reported yesterday, commit suicide. It looks more like solo fun time gone terribly, terribly wrong. TMZ says that, "We just spoke to a rep for David Carradine, who claims the actor's death was not a suicide. The rep said David's death was "accidental." And there's this ... the BBC is now reporting that David's body was found hanging with a rope around his neck and "other parts of his body." Carradine's body was found nude, hanging in a closet. David's rep added, "We can confirm 100% that he never would have committed suicide. It was an accidental death. Everybody is in shock."
The Washington Post reports this morning that, "Thai police officers investigating the death of David Carradine ... say he most likely died of asphyxiation, possibly when an auto-erotic sex game went wrong. Carradine, 72, was found naked in a closet in an upscale Bangkok hotel on Thursday with cords around his neck and his genitals. The police are checking DNA found on the cords, but say they found no signs of a struggle, suggesting that Carradine might have either tied himself up or submitted voluntarily to his incapacitation. "It is unclear whether he committed suicide or not or he died of suffocation or heart failure," Lt. Gen. Worapong Chewprecha of the Royal Thai Police told reporters. The results of the autopsy are expected to be released on Saturday ... Worapong said that Carradine had been drinking on the day before he was found, but did not say if he thought that might have been a factor in the death. Fingerprint experts have examined the room in the Swissotel Nai Lert Park and, although they have not ruled out the possibility of murder, they say they have found no evidence that there was anyone else in the room between 9 p.m. Wednesday, when Carradine left the hotel bar, and 11 a.m. Thursday, when his body was found."
UPDATE: It gets odder and odder. TMZ has this: "Now we know why David Carradine's family thinks foul play may have been involved in the actors death -- his manager tells us Carradine was found with his hands tied behind his back. Chuck Binder, Carradine's manager, tells us he firmly believes Carradine did not take his own life -- nor does he think David died accidentally. Binder says the family has been told Carradine's hands were immobilized by the rope."

Don't blame this death on David Carradine. I mean, his hands were tied.
