Five vacationing female Norwegian police officers in heels take down Spanish flasher

I think I can pretty much guarantee you I won't be writing a better headline all day. It's like a low-budget Charlie's Angels or something. (And, yes, in case you're wondering, referring to police officers as "girls" is not as offensive in Skandinavia as it would be here.)

I translated this from Danish paper, Politiken: "Vacationers and locals in Torrevieja in the souch of Spain saw something unusual in the beginning of September when five Norwegian women wearing stillettos (looks more like wedges to me) and mini skirts took a break from their vacation and napped a flasher.

The paper Verdens Gang reports on its website vg.no that the girls are police officers who'd travelled to the vacation area to relax.

"We had been out for dinner when we saw a man standing there showing himself a couple of street away. We thought he was drunk and didn't worry about it," says one of the officers, Brittandulff Karlsen.

But the next day it happened again. The same man stood there and, again, wasn't wearing clothes - except for socks and running shoes.

 "We got a little annoyed. There were families and children walking by. We had to do something," says Helen Solheim, who works for vice in Stavanger.

So the women decided to do something about it. They got closer to the man, who then started running away from them. "He was anything but drunk," Solheim says.

The man ran into a park to get away from the Norwegian tourists who then spread out to trap him. Two of the women napped him.

"It was a an incredible sight. The naked man who's running around in the park betwen cacti and palm trees and the two Norwegian girls in dresses and heels," says Randulff Karlson.

The man stumbled and then he was caught. When local police arrived, they were surprised.

"It was like bringing work with you on vacation. And it's a funny story, but I hope it's a one-time occurrence," Randulff Karlsen says.
