Vanity Fair has Lady Gaga on the cover. She talks about how the rainbows and unicorns phase never lasts in her relationship. Which, I would think, is a good thing. Have you ever scooped unicorn poop? It's nasty. And the rainbows are no help. They never point to the poop. So it just lies there undiscovered behind the couch, stinking up the place.
"Lady Gaga gets candid with Vanity Fair about her history with relationships: “I have never felt truly cherished by a lover. I have an inability to know what happiness feels like with a man,” the singer tells contributing editor Lisa Robinson. “I say this honestly, and this is my new thing as of the past year: when I fight with someone I’m in a relationship with, I think, What would my fans think if they knew this was happening? How would they feel about my work and about me as a female if they knew I was allowing this to go on? And then I get out.” Will her rumored romance with Vampire Diaries actor Taylor Kinney be a departure from this disappointing history? “I have this effect on people where it starts out good. Then, when I’m in these relationships with people who are also creative, or creative in their own way, what happens is the attraction is initially there and it’s all unicorns and rainbows. And then they hate me.” But her creativity is the one thing she says she will not compromise on, no matter the cost to her romantic life. “Perhaps it’s a whose-bleep-is-bigger contest. If I go to the piano and write a quick song and play it back, they are angry with how fast and effortless it is. That’s who I am, and I don’t apologize for it. But it’s a hideous place to be in when someone that you love has convinced you that you will never be good enough for anyone. I had a man say to me, ‘You will die alone in a house bigger than you know, with all your money and hit records, and you will die alone.’” BETTER THAN DYING IN A STINKY HOVEL SURROUNDED BY OLD SHOES AND HOARDED NEWSPAPERS. In these dark moments, Gaga tells Robinson, she has found meaning in her work: “Even though I know it sounds a bit Hallmark, whenever I [was] in that kind of stressful, worthless moment, I would think, I’ll show you.’” Gaga continues, “I think what it really is, is that I date creative people. And I think that what intimidates them is not my purse; it’s my mind.” Gaga says the weird thing is, after she’s left a few people, they’ve asked her to marry them. “How bleepin’ romantic, you asshole. Sure, pop a ring on my finger and make it all better. I can buy myself a bleepin’ ring.”

Well, it's better than it being like a historical tragedy, I suppose. Ritchie also talked to Details about Sherlock Holmes and his gangster movies. But we don't care about that. We only care about his personal life and how being married to Madonna made him rich.
DETAILS: You recently became a father for the third time. What kind of life advice do you give your kids?
Guy Ritchie: I don't. I'm bleeping glad no one gave me too much advice. You've got to work it out for yourself. What works for me might not work for anyone else. Because everyone told me that to be good at school was important, but for me it wasn't. So I am anti-school. And I'm anti people putting so much pressure on kids and robbing their childhood by giving them so much homework. I think if kids want to arse around, then they should.
DETAILS: You married Madonna when you were still a fledgling director and she was the most famous woman in the world. What was that adjustment like?
Guy Ritchie: I don't know. By the way, I enjoyed my first marriage. It's definitely not something I regret. The experience was ultimately very positive. I love the kids that came out of it, and I could see no other route to take. But you move on, don't you? You're right, I stepped into a soap opera, and I lived in it for quite a long period of my life. I'll probably be more eloquent on it 10 years from now.
DETAILS: What did you learn from that marriage?
Guy Ritchie: When you end up with a lot of the things you set out to chase and find that you've stumbled into all sorts of hollow victories, then you become deeply philosophical. I'm quite happy that that experience was accelerated for me. I'm glad I made money, in other words. And I'm glad I got married.

Usher's ex-wife wants full custody "Usher's ex-wife wants to take away his kids ... claiming the singer has repeatedly blown off his legal obligations as a co-parent ... and even worse - he CLOSED her Saks 5th Avenue credit card ... this according to court docs obtained by TMZ. Tameka Raymond - who had 2 kids with Usher during their brief 2 year marriage - filed court papers in Georgia ... asking a judge to strip Usher of joint physical custody of their children ASAP. According to the docs, Tameka claims Usher has repeatedly FAILED to obtain her permission to travel outside the state with the kids ... which he's legally obligated to do. But there's more ... a lot more. Tameka also claims Usher is required and has failed to: get her approval before hiring nannies, give her first shot to watch the kids when he's away for more than 8 hours, allow her to take the kids for 2-weeks in the summer of 2011, let her have custody of the kids during Christmas break 2010. Tameka also claims Usher closed her Saks 5th Avenue credit card - which he specifically said he wouldn't do - and now she can no longer take advantage of the "special benefits" the card offers."
Tobey McGuire pays up THR: "Tobey Maguire knows when to throw down his cards and settle up. Earlier this year, the actor was one of 22 people sued for winning money in allegedly illegal poker games from a Beverly Hills hedge fund manager who was convicted of running a Ponzi Scheme. On Wednesday, the parties filed court papers in bankruptcy court revealing that Maguire has agreed to fork over $80,000 to be dropped from ongoing litigation meant to recoup money for those who got duped by the fraud. Maguire was one of many Hollywood insiders who participated in high-stakes poker games at luxurious Beverly Hills hotels with Brad Ruderman, the CEO of Ruderman Capital Partners ... Maguire allegedly won more than $300,000 in poker, but in the lawsuit, the bankruptcy judge alleged the poker was unlicensed and that the winnings were ill-gotten gains from Ruderman's clients."
And award season is here Deadline: "Terrence Malick’s The Tree of Life and Mike Mills’ Beginners shared the best feature award at Monday night’s 21st Annual Gotham Independent Film Awards. Other nominees for Best Feature were nominees were The Descendants, Meek’s Cutoff and Take Shelter. Girlfriend won the audience award and Dee Rees was named breakthrough director for Pariah. Mike Mills’ Beginners took best ensemble performance, and the prize for Best Film Not Seen In A Theater Near You went to Scenes of A Crime. Those filmmakers win a week’s run at Cinema Village in New York City. The win by Beginners was a big surprise as the movie bested the higher profile The Descendants, Jeff Nichols’ Take Shelter and Martha Marcy May Marlene. Best documentary was Better This World. Breakthrough Actor Award went to Felicity Jones for Like Crazy."
New girlfriend for Sam Mendes Us: "Kate Winslet's ex-husband Sam Mendes is going public with the new lady in his life. A spokesman for the director, 46, confirmed to the Daily Mail Sunday that Mendes and actress Rebecca Hall, 29, "are in a relationship." In 2010, unconfirmed rumors swirled that Hall was responsible for the decline of Mendes and Winslet's 7-year marriage. The Daily Mail claimed that Mendes and the Vicky Cristina Barcelona star became romantically involved after meeting in 2006. A rep for Mendes called the charge "utter nonsense...untrue and ridiculous." ... Mendes isn't the only one who moved on; Winslet first rebounded with hunky model Louis Dowler and is currently dating 61-year-old British billionaire Sir Richard Branson's nephew Ned Rocknroll. Spawn "Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard are expanding their family. The actors are expecting their second child together, her rep confirms to People. The Hysteria star and Green Lantern's Sarsgaard, 40, wed in 2009 and are already parents to 5-year-old daughter Ramona."
