While you were sleeping
... brought to you by Jessica Simpson who finally let us know - via Twitter - that, "It's True! I am going to be a mummy!"
Lindsay Lohan wants a letter of recommendation TMZ: "Lindsay Lohan figures if the people from the morgue can help dead people, they can do wonders for her, and that's why she's asked them for a letter of recommendation for the very skeptical judge. We're told Lindsay pleaded with a supervisor at the L.A. County Coroner's Office to write the letter on her behalf ... touting that she's been doing yeoman's work at corpseville. But our sources say her request got shut down before it reached the man in charge, Ed Winter, and even if it had ... there's no way Winter would have written the letter. As we've already reported, Lindsay will concede that she violated her probation when she goes to court tomorrow, and Judge Stephanie Sautner will almost certainly send her to jail. We're told Lindsay is hoping for just 2 weeks behind bars, but that is probably wishful thinking."
Jimmy Kimmel to host White House dinner People: "Time for politicos to put on their tough skins. The White House Correspondents' Association has a host for its 98th annual dinner next April 28: Jimmy Kimmel. "I look forward to being a part of the White House Correspondents' Association Dinner," the host of the ABC late-night talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live! said in a statement. "I love dinner." Traditionally a star-studded event attended by the President and First Lady, other senior government officials and members of the press corps – as well as TV and movie celebrities – the dinner features a barrage of zingers aimed at those who run the country."
New project for Joss Whedon Coming Soon: "Fresh off wrapping their first feature, Much Ado About Nothing, Joss Whedon and Kai Cole's micro-studio, Bellwether Pictures, is embarking on its next project. The supernatural romance, In Your Eyes, was written by Whedon and he will also serve as executive producer. In Your Eyes tells a metaphysical love story about two seemingly polar opposites who are deeply connected in ways neither could have ever imagined. Brin Hill will direct the feature and Cole will produce along with Michael Roiff and his Night & Day Pictures banner. David Rothenberg will co-produce. Whedon's busy fall continues as he is in post on next year's The Avengers and just wrapped principal photography on Much Ado About Nothing last week. "When I wrote 'In Your Eyes,' I didn't have the wherewithal (or the moxie) to make it without an established production house. I believe, as I did then, that it's a pretty timeless romance, and now, with the creation of Bellwether Pictures (and Brin Hill's elegant, passionate take on the piece) I have the opportunity to prove it. (I also have a 37% increase in moxie.) I love this team (especially the girl one) and I can't wait to see them bring 'In Your Eyes' to life."
Bill Murray joins Charlie Sheen movie Reuters: "Bill Murray has joined the cast of Roman Coppola's "A Glimpse Into the Mind of Charles Swan III," TheWrap has confirmed. Murray will add his famous oddness to a cast that also includes Charlie Sheen and Mary Elizabeth Winstead. Jason Schwartzman -- the director's cousin - also stars. The movie, which Coppolla wrote and is directing and producing, is about a famous graphic designer who plummets into a vortex of despair after his girlfriend dumps him. Coppola is the son of Francis Ford Coppola and the brother of Sofia Coppola - who directed Murray in her 1993 "Lost in Translation."
