Kris Humphries files to annul marriage "Kris Humphries is officially ready to put his 72-day marriage to Kim Kardashian behind him. On Wednesday, the NBA player, 26, answered Kardashian's October 31 divorce filing by seeking to annul their brief marriage on the grounds of fraud. Submitting papers to the Superior Court, Humphries checked the boxes marked "nullity of voidable marriage" and "fraud." Like Kardashian, he listed the date of separation as October 31. "The reason Kris is alleging 'fraud' is because the other options were ridiculous," a source close to Humphries tells Us Weekly of his official filings. (Other grounds on which a marriage could be annulled include bigamy, incest or force.) "The whole 'fraud' thing is ridiculous. If the marriage was a sham, he was in on it," continues the insider. "Did he not see the cameras or get a cut of whatever money was made? The marriage was real. It was just a terrible and unhappy one."
What a mess "The family news continues for Mindy McCready. On the same day she insisted that, despite reports, she did not kidnap her 5-year-old son Zander, a rep for the troubled country singer confirms to People that McCready, 36, is five months pregnant with twins. According to reports, the father of the babies-to-be is unknown. Police say that McCready and her son disappeared after she picked him up from her father's house in Cape Coral, Fla., on Tuesday. The songstress, who has a history of suicide attempts, a jail visit and a stint in rehab, does not have custody of Zander, but she does have visitation privileges. "I am working with lawyers to try to get all this straightened out,” she told Access Hollywood on Wednesday. "I did not steal my child, as it would be impossible for me to kidnap what already belongs to me! There never was any missing persons report and never an Amber Alert."
Glee casting news "News already broke this week that Ricky Martin was going to appear on Glee this winter as McKinley High’s new Spanish teacher. But now EW has even more exciting news for Latin music fans: A source exclusively tells EW that pop superstar Gloria Estefan is currently in negotiations to play Santana’s mother! Last night, we met Santana’s grandmother, who did not approve of her granddaughter’s lesbian lifestyle. But we haven’t heard from her parents, who Santana claimed were supportive of their daughter’s coming out. Gleeks should expect to see Gloria in the same episode as Martin in January. Our source tells us that the entire cast is “really really big fans of hers and we love her music and her husband’s music.” In fact, the plan is for the episode is to feature some of Estefan’s own music as well as some other bilingual tunes."
And Star Trek casting news /Film "Not only might J.J. Abrams‘ 2013 3D Star Trek sequel be gaining a new cast member, word is the entire Star Trek universe is gaining one too. Alice Eve, best known for her lead role in She’s Out Of My League and pivotal performance in the final season of Entourage, has reportedly beat out several other young actresses for a lead role in the sequel playing a character that’s new to the canon. She’ll join Benicio Del Toro and one more, yet to be cast, older villain, as the latest additions to the cast of the hit 2009 film. Read more after the jump. Variety broke the news of this casting though, as per the Abrams way, the role is unknown. However, Variety’s sources believe it to be “new to the Star Trek universe, unlike del Toro, who insiders believe will be playing someone familiar to Trekkies.” Does that mean she’s a good girl? Bad girl? It seems like Captain Kirk could use a love interest and Eve just might fit the bill on that."
