(We've unfortunately entered the holiday season bore-portion of the year, where the scandals and paternity suits and drunken shenanigans tend to die down, and now get news like this:)
Mavericks coach likes Khloe Us: "Khloe Kardashian admitted to E! News that hubby Lamar Odom's move to the Dallas Mavericks was "an unexpected change," but the Texas team is eager to welcome the former L.A. Laker to the Lone Star state! "Your locker is ready, Mr. Lamar Odom," the Dallas Mavericks tweeted Monday, including a shot of an empty locker ready for the 32-year-old's gear. "Need some candy in there," Khloe, 27, responded. ... "I've heard nothing but great things about Dallas and the Mavs," Khloe told E! News. "Can't wait to join my hubby there and get to know the city and all the wonderful people there." The Mavericks' head coach, Rick Carlisle, is certainly looking forward to Odom joining his team - and seeing Khloe in the stands! "I will say this: Khloe's my favorite Kardashian. She's the coolest," Carlisle told the Dallas Morning News. So will the NBA coach ever appear on a Kardashian-themed reality show? "I've never been one to rule anything out," he said. "I would guess it would be a long shot to be asked."
You'll have to wait for Paradise Lost Deadline: "Legendary Pictures has halted plans to begin production early next year on Paradise Lost, the epic-sized Alex Proyas-directed film about the battle between good and evil that is inspired by the John Milton poem. Bradley Cooper had been set to play Lucifer, Benjamin Walker to play the archangel Michael, and Diego Boneta playing Adam and Camilla Belle Eve, with a host of other actors lined up for the action epic. I’m told that the film isn’t scrapped; rather, Legendary’s Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni and producer Vincent Newman will continue developing it to rework a budget that had passed the $120 million mark by 10 per cent or 15 per cent. The picture has crewed up for an Australia shoot and the talent and below the line is learning about the postponement right now. Films including Moneyball and American Gangster had their plugs pulled within a month of production and bounced back, but it is always a shock when a large film has its start date scratched so close to production, even if it is temporary."
Rehab for Brooke Mueller Us: "Brooke Mueller is ready to give rehab another try. Just over one week after being arrested in Aspen, Colo., for felony cocaine possession with the intention to distribute, Charlie Sheen's ex-wife has announced plans to attempt an at-home treatment plan. "Recognizing past attempts at treatment have not been successful, Brooke has decided to take a different approach to deal with her addiction," says Mueller's spokesman, Steve Honig. "Brooke will be participating in a program during the day, and will be under expert supervision 24 hours a day, seven days a week. In addition, Brooke has requested to be tested on a daily basis for cocaine and other illegal substances so there is no doubt as to her commitment." The mom of 2-year-old twin sons Bob and Max was released from Pitkin County Jail December 3 when she posted an $11,000 bond. Mueller, who was also busted for a misdemeanor third degree assault charge, has a District Court date of December 19. Her latest brush with the law comes nearly two years after Sheen allegedly held a knife to his then-wife's throat in Aspen and threatened to kill her."
Lisa Rinna returns to soap THR: "After months of speculation, Lisa Rinna is officially returning to NBC's Days of Our Lives. The former Apprentice and Dancing With the Stars contestant and Soap Talk host will reprise her role as Billie Reed on the NBC soap as a contract player, with her first episode set for March 8, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively. While details of her story arc are being kept under wraps, network officials confirm that she will share "explosive" scenes with on-screen mother Kate (Lauren Koslow) and her former flame, Bo (Peter Reckell). "I am so thrilled to be back and excited to be acting again," Rinna said. "I have done reality shows, talk shows and I thought, what a great way to come back and play a character that I love to play so much. Feels very full circle - like a new old chapter."
