Kim Kardashian gets an actual job THR: "Kim Kardashian is continuing her push into scripted fare. The reality star has been tapped for a multiple episode arc on the upcoming fourth season of Lifetime's Drop Dead Diva, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively. Kardashian will play Nikki, who partners with Stacy (April Bowlby) in a new business venture. She will first appear in the Sony Pictures Television dramedy's season premiere, which is slated for the summer. "I'm ecstatic to welcome Kim to the Diva family,” creator and executive producer Josh Berman said. “In discussing the role of Nikki with her, I'm blown away by her smarts, sense of humor and passion. This series is all about reinvention and I'm so excited to see Kim ‘reinvented’ in the world of Drop Dead Diva.”
Another reason to stay far away from karaoke TMZ: "Jackass" star Steve-O has just been sued over a karaoke performance gone horribly wrong - in which a woman allegedly slipped and fell, breaking practically every bone in her lower body. The woman behind the lawsuit is named Susanne Ohman - who claims she recently participated in a singing competition for the upcoming show "Killer Karaoke" ... which Steve-O hosts. According to the lawsuit, filed in L.A. County Superior Court, the show sprays water at the contestants while they sing as a form of distraction. Susanne claims she got soaked ... and as she was stepping off a platform, she slipped. As a result, Susanne claims she "fractured and damaged her tibia, patella, ligaments, knee, leg, bones, and injured her muscles, bone, circulatory system, and body." Susanne claims she has since been required to undergo surgery - and expects to undergo even more surgery in the future. She's suing Steve-O and the show's producers for unspecified damages.
Drake wants to play OK!: Obama "Although he hasn't acted in a few years, Drake has his eye on a big role, President Barack Obama! The rapper told VH1 News (via Rolling Stone) that he has been practicing the part for awhile. "That’s the goal. I watch all the addresses. Any time I see him on TV, I don’t change the channel. I definitely pay attention and listen to the inflections of his voice. If you ask anyone who knows me, I’m pretty good at impressions." Drake might have some competition as the President has previously said he'd love for Will Smith to play him one day. He told Entertainment Tonight back in 2008, "Will and I have talked about this because he has the ears!" Despite this potential Will Smith setback, Drake said that he's looking for the right script to get back into acting (he was on Degrassi: The Next Generation, after all). "I've been reading scripts for awhile."
Russell Brand totally mean and horrible, according to this made-up story "Less than one month after filing to divorce wife of 14 months Katy Perry, Russell Brand has moved on. The latest issue of Us Weekly has new details about the Brit comic's bevy of new beauties, who have incensed his soon-to-be ex-wife Perry, 27. "She discovered through her friends," an insider tells Us of how Perry found out about 36-year-old Brand's wandering eye. "One of the women told a friend of hers and it got back to Katy." And the Rock of Ages actor's new ladies aren't the only ones doing the talking. Brand - who blindsided Perry by filing for divorce December 30 - has been trashing her to his conquests. "He's spoken terribly about Katy to them," the source says of Brand, who has sought out one particular woman to "explore a relationship" with. "[Russell] told her he wanted her to move in with him after the divorce is final," confirmed the insider."
I had no idea he was engaged "It's over for Drew Carey and his longtime fiancée. The Price Is Right host and Nicole Jaracz have ended their nearly five-year relationship. "He and Nicole still have a great deal of love and affection for one another," Carey's rep tells People in a statement. "He will still be very involved with their son's life." Carey, 53, and Jaracz announced their engagement in Oct. 2007. At the time, Jaracz had recently graduated from culinary school. In 2010, Carey dropped 80 lbs., and attributed his significant weight loss to the inspiration of his fiancée and her son, Connor, now 6. Noting that he'd get winded while trying to keep up with the boy, Carey told Parade then, "That was a terrible feeling. I thought, I'm never going to see him graduate high school."
Meow No surprise here: "Heidi Bivens is on Team Angelina! The pretty celeb stylist was thrust into the spotlight last spring when Justin Theroux abruptly ended their 14-year relationship (they lived together) and embarked on a high-profile romance with Wanderlust costar Jennifer Aniston. Bivens made a rare red carpet appearance recently at the premiere of the film Here at the CORE: Club in NYC - and had high praise for Angelina Jolie, who's been with Aniston's ex-husband Brad Pitt for seven years. "I was super-impressed by Angelina's dress for the Golden Globes," Bivens told Us Weekly of the superstar's jaw-dropping look at the Jan. 15 awards fest in Beverly Hills."
