Leonard Nimoy will finally visit Big Bang Theory. Kinda msnbc: "CBS' "The Big Bang Theory" is getting much closer to bringing dream guest star Leonard Nimoy onto the series. The "Star Trek" icon - aka Sheldon's (Jim Parsons) hero - has been tapped for a cameo on the comedy's March 29 episode in which he'll voice a role as Spock, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed. As first reported by TV Line, Nimoy will speak to Sheldon during a dream sequence in the episode. "For years, we thought it would be fantastic to have Leonard Nimoy appear on the show and we think we’ve found a really different and fun way to make that happen," executive producer Steve Molaro tells THR. "As thrilled as we are he's doing it, we're even more thrilled just to get our pictures taken with him.” Nimoy has been at the top of the producers' wish list for guest stars, as Sheldon's obsession with "Star Trek" has been well documented on the series."

Dane Cook to play Howard Stern some made-up radio host THR: "Dane Cook is heading to series television. The stand-up comic-turned-feature actor has been tapped to star in NBC's comedy pilot Next Caller Please, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. The single-camera series revolves around Cam Doherty, a brash alpha male DJ and his feminist co-host set in the office of a satellite radio station. Cook will play Cam, the disheveled, unshaven, hung-over and purposely detached magnetic grouch who doesn't like that his co-host is a woman. Weeds producer Stephen Falk will write and executive produce Next Caller Please. Like Weeds, the project hails from Universal Television and Lionsgate TV. Marc Buckland will direct the pilot Collette Wolfe will play his co-host, Stella."

New epic love biscuits alert "Eddie Murphy has unbroken Toni Braxton's heart! The singer, 44, and comic actor, 50, "are seeing each other and very into it," a source tells Us Weekly, adding that the romance started up four months ago. The Tower Heist star - who has eight kids from previous relationships - even cheered on the mother of two (who's been separated from singer Keri Lewis since 2009), backstage at her Feb. 19 L.A. concert. While Braxton's rep insists "Toni and Eddie are just friends and have been fans of each other's work for a long time," the insider says, "Their kids have met and everything. It's getting very serious."

Halle Berry wants a custody war "Halle Berry has dumped another man ... but this one has been with her way longer than all the others - her longtime lawyer/confidante, Neal Hersh ... TMZ has learned. Here's the lowdown.  Our sources tell us Halle wants to go after her baby daddy Gabriel Aubry with nuclear weapons - metaphorically speaking -- and she thinks Hersh is too much of a gentleman to wage that kind of legal war, even though he has guided Halle through 2 divorces, a custody war and various other legal skirmishes. So we've learned Halle has hired Stephen Kolodny (above), who is legendary in L.A. legal circles for the level of legal warfare she so wants. Kolodny has already gone to court with Halle. We've learned last Thursday the new duo went to dependency court to have more restrictions placed on Aubry. The dependency judge has already ordered that Gabriel can only have contact with Nahla in the presence of a monitor. On Thursday, we're told the judge voiced additional concerns and ordered Gabriel to return the child to Halle earlier than the 6 PM deadline on days he has custody. Kolodny will have his hands full trying to convince the family law judge that Halle should be able to move to France with the child because she's concerned about paparazzi and safety."

Stargazing blog by Malene Arpe

  • Malene’s interests and hobbies include Schadenfreude, sci-fi and fantasy (good and bad alike), hilarious hair pieces, age-inappropriate celebrity crushes, messed-up starlets, waiting for the next Star Trek movie, hating Björk, creative profanity, disobedient robots, fake celebrity relationships, post-apocalyptic dread, singing super-villains, baseball, David Beckham (but only when he keeps his mouth shut), vampires and knitting tiny sweaters for her seven cats. That’s not true. Maybe.
