While you were sleeping
... brought to you by Thor cracking his knuckles. (And, yes, I know I'm a bit late getting started today. Looking at it objectively, I do not think that today is going to be a success).
Husband-to-be is now Britney's conservator People: "Jason Trawick, Britney Spears's fiancé, was approved as a co-conservator for the pop star by a Los Angeles judge Wednesday. "Jamie's thrilled," his attorney Geraldine Wyle told reporters following the hearing, referring to Spears's father. "It's all in the family." Wyle also clarified that the request to add Trawick came at Britney's request, not Jamie's. Conservators typically have legal authority over a person's general well-being, which includes decisions about food, clothing and medical care. A source close to the singer previously told People that Britney enjoys plenty of personal freedom and that the conservatorship is mostly in name only. Trawick will not have any legal control over Britney's multimillion-dollar fortune, which is overseen by her father and another attorney. Dad Jamie Spears has held legal control over his daughter and her finances since Feb. 2008 after the singer suffered a psychological breakdown. The conservatorship will be lifted only after a judge is convinced, on the advice of the singer's doctors, that she's healthy enough to manage her own affairs."
What have you wrought, Hologram Tupac? "For the first time in nearly a decade, TLC will be reuniting for a U.S. concert tour later this year - and TMZ has learned, the late Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes will be making a special appearance. The group's rep tells us, Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins and Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas are currently in the planning stages of a massive 2012 reunion tour in the U.S. So far, we're told 5 major cities have already been booked - and even more are in the works. But the big surprise ... we're told the group plans to pull a Tupac - incorporating their deceased former member Left Eye in the shows, projecting her image on a big screen and working her vocals into the live performances."
Spawn "Katherine Heigl and Josh Kelley have adopted their second daughter, a rep for the actress confirms to Us Weekly. No other details were available. The couple, who wed in 2007, adopted daughter Naleigh from South Korea in 2009. "Josh and I started talking about [adoption] before we were even engaged," Heigl told Scholastic Parent & Child in February. "My sister Meg is Korean, and my parents adopted her three years before I was born. I wanted my own family to resemble the one I came from, so I always knew I wanted to adopt from Korea."
What is wrong with people? No, really. I'd like to know TMZ: "A black surgical mask that Michael Jackson allegedly wore the night before he died in 2009 has hit the auction block - and the bids have already surpassed $20,000. According to the auction house - Nate D. Sanders Auctions - MJ wore the mask (above) while rehearsing for his "This Is It" concert tour on June 24th, 2009 ... the singer's last ever rehearsal. The auction house claims the mask - made of silk fabric, personally designed by the King of Pop - contains visible traces of MJ's stage make-up along with a strand of his black hair. One of MJ's former bodyguards was in possession of the mask, and swears by its authenticity. MJ famously wore surgical masks outdoors as a form of disguise. The auction ends April 30th - and bidding has already reached $21,190. The auction house estimates the mask will sell for $50,000-$150,000."
