Britney got the X-Factor gig "Are you ready? Britney Spears has officially signed a deal with The X Factor! A source confirms to Us Weekly that Spears will join Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid as a judge. E! News first broke the story Wednesday that the 31-year-old pop superstar has signed a contract with X Factor. "There's been a lot of back and forth over the past few weeks as they negotiated the small details, but she's on," a source told E! News. "It's all completed and Britney is beyond excited." On April 11, a source close to the negotiations told Us the "Till the World Ends" singer will get $16 million for doing the show. "No paperwork has actually been signed yet," the source explained at the time. "But they finally came to terms. It was a long negotiation . . . Britney was a natural fit." An insider now tells E! News, "She can't wait to sit down next to Simon at the judges' table and give this everything she's got. She is excited about showing the world that she can do this, and do this well."
Grey's Anatomy cast will return Deadline: "Big news for Grey’s Anatomy fans. I’ve learned that all original cast members whose future on the ABC medical drama had been up in the air amid contract negotiations, have re-upped for two more seasons. That includes Ellen Pompeo, Patrick Dempsey, Sandra Oh, Justin Chambers as well as James Pickens, Jr. and Chandra Wilson. With the uncertainty surrounding the core quartet, Grey’s Anatomy creator-showrunner Shonda Rhimes had written the upcoming eighth season finale in a way that would leave the door open for them potentially departing Seattle Grace. The new contracts with Pompeo, Dempsey, Oh, Chambers, Pickens Jr. and Wilson pave the way for Grey’s to be renewed for a ninth season, something that already was all but guaranteed."
Spawn "The timing is right: Anna Faris and Chris Pratt are going to be parents! The Dictator actress, 35, and her Parks and Recreation star husband, 32, are expecting their first child this fall, her rep tells People exclusively. After tying the knot in 2009, the couple were open about their dreams of a large family, but admitted the timing was “so hard in this industry.” Still, The Five Year Engagement actor made it clear he was ready to fall into fatherhood sooner rather than later. “Chris wants a big family,” Faris told People. The actress stars alongside Sacha Baron Cohen in The Dictator, opening May 16, and is currently filming Working Title’s I Give It a Year in London with Rose Byrne and Simon Baker. Pratt is filming Zero Dark Thirty for director Kathryn Bigelow and will appear with Channing Tatum in Ten Year this September."
Not to be rude, but aren't you a little old-ish for that? "Jennifer Love Hewitt is ready to throw her hat in the ring for the female lead in “Fifty Shades of Grey.” “I wanna be Anastasia so badly,” “The Client List” star and executive producer told Access Hollywood’s Jill Martin on Wednesday at the Lifetime Upfronts in New York City, when Jill asked about the potential role. The actress is a well-known “Twilight” mega-fan, so it’s no surprise that she’s joined millions in picking up the E L James bestseller, which started out as “Twilight” inspired fan fiction. In the book, Anastasia is a young woman, who after taking over an assignment to interview eligible bachelor Christian Grey, ends up on an R-Rated journey. “I think it would be awesome. I think it would be really, really fun,” Jennifer said of the part. “I just started part of it,” she added, referring to the book. “And I’m saving the rest for my vacation in a month or so.”
The last of the cornetto trilogy announced Deadline: "Working Title and Edgar Wright have set a September start date for The World’s End, the last in a trilogy of comedies that started with Shaun Of The Dead and Hot Fuzz. Wright, who’ll direct, wrote the script with Simon Pegg. Once again, Pegg stars with Nick Frost. Universal Pictures hasn’t yet green lit the film, but is expected to after the modestly budgeted pair of comedies grossed $108 million worldwide between them. The plan is for The World’s End to reach theaters in spring, 2013. The logline: 20 years after attempting an epic pub crawl, five childhood friends reunite when one of them becomes hell bent on trying the drinking marathon again. They are convinced to stage an encore by mate Gary King, a 40-year old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their home town and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub, The World’s End. As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realize the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind’s. Reaching The World’s End is the least of their worries."
