Rock bottom officially reached Deadline: "The dating reality shows’ hot streak this summer continues with Fox’s The Choice, a six-episode celebrity dating series that feels like a dating version of The Voice or a cross between the NBC singing competition and The Dating Game. Hosted by So You Think You Can Dance‘s Cat Deeley, the hourlong The Choice features eligible celebrities competing to find a match among a group of sexy singles… they can’t see. Filmed in front of a live audience, each episode of The Choice begins with four eligible celebrity bachelors sitting in rotating chairs, turning their backs on the sexy singles looking for a date with them. In this initial “Blind Round,” each celebrity can only use his suitors’ voices – as they share information about their life, passions, turn-ons and turn-offs. When a celebrity bachelor likes what he hears, he pulls his “love handle,” REALLY? REALLY? spinning his chair around to bring him face-to-face for the first time with his potential date. If more than one celebrity pulls the handle, they must battle it out until the sexy single chooses a celebrity. Once each bachelor has his three hotties, the teams enter the “Speed Choice” round, where each woman has only 15 seconds to convince her celebrity to pick her for the final round."
Gaga solo Us: "Lady Gaga recently hit the road - and told beau Taylor Kinney to do the same! The pop singer, 26, and the Vampire Diaries star, 30, are now "on a break," a source tells Us Weekly exclusively. "She will be touring nonstop until next year and has found she can't have relationship at the same time." The insider adds that the performer will have her hands full recording her next album while on the 110-show tour. "There's just no room for anything else. Her work is all-consuming." Still, the couple of 10 months weren't exactly destined for the altar, says the friend. "Taylor was all about himself, a typical actor, and didn't completely get Gaga," says the friend. And maybe she liked him for the wrong reasons. Says the pal, "She loved that she got this guy who everyone thought was hot! But it was never going to last." The actor "was never that attentive to her," the source adds."
New job for the sparkly one Coming Soon: "Robert Pattinson ("The Twilight Saga") will star in director Jean-Stéphane Sauvaire's Mission: Blacklist. The screenplay was adapted by "Band of Brothers" writer and producer Erik Jendresen from the Harper Collins novel "Mission: Black List #1" written by military interrogator Eric Maddox with Davin Seay. Mission: Blacklist is a psychological thriller that details the true, inside story of the search for Saddam Hussein and the interrogator, Eric Maddox, who spearheaded his capture."
Spawn "When J.R. Martinez brought home the season 13 mirror ball trophy on Dancing with the Stars last November, he was a proud man. But nothing beats the feeling Martinez had when he and girlfriend Diana Gonzalez-Jones welcomed daughter Lauryn Anabelle Martinez on Wednesday evening, May 2 in Los Angeles. “She’s already got a nickname — Belle,” Martinez, 28, tells People of his newborn baby girl, who weighed in at 7 lbs., 13 oz. and is 21 inches long. The Iraq war veteran and Gonzalez-Jones met when he landed a role on All My Children in 2008, and announced in December that they were expecting their first child."
