Judy Dench is losing her sight People: "For any actress, it's just something that comes with the job. Before the big screen, and before filming even begins, Dame Judi Dench has to read the script. But that part of her job is proving to be difficult, says Dench, because her vision is failing. "I can't read scripts any more because of the trouble with my eyes," she tells the U.K.'s Mirror. "And so somebody comes in and reads them to me, like telling me a story." The Oscar-winning actress, 77, says she has been diagnosed with macular degeneration, a condition, characterized by damage to the retina, that can lead to blindness. Dench, whose mom also had the condition, has already undergone treatment – "they had to do these injections and I think it's arrested," she says – and will next appear in Skyfall, the next installment of the James Bond saga (her seventh 007 blockbuster). "As long as there is a possibility of working, I'm not going to retire," she says. "If I retire, nothing will work any more, and it's hard enough as it is."

Gaga's boyfriend gets a job Deadline: "The Vampire Diaries alum Taylor Kinney has landed a lead role in the NBC firefighter drama pilot Chicago Fire, from Wolf Films and Universal TV. In the action-driven drama about the complex and heroic men and women of the Chicago Fire Department, Kinney will play adrenaline-junkie Squad Lieutenant Kelly Severide, the leader of the elite firefighters who respond to the most dangerous fires or rescue operations. Kinney, who is getting a lot of media attention at the moment for dating pop star Lady Gaga, joins recently cast Eamonn Walker, who plays the captain of the squad."

Lindsay Lohan to host SNL  "Lindsay Lohan was DYING to do "Saturday Night Live" again - and kickstart her comeback - so she reached out to Lorne Michaels herself to book the hosting gig ... TMZ has learned. Sources close to Lindsay tell TMZ she has always felt the "SNL" executive producer has been very fatherly towards her throughout the years. We're told LiLo has always enjoyed doing the show, but was waiting for the right time to do it again. So now that her community service is coming to an end, our sources say Lindsay called up Lorne and asked him to consider her for the show again. We're told they had multiple conversations and eventually settled on a date ... March 3. According to our sources, Lindsay feels doing "SNL" again will remind people she's an actress ... not a defendant."

OMG! There really is a ring "To celebrate his guest appearance on Saturday Night Live in NYC Saturday, Justin Timberlake hit up the show's weekly after party at Asellina in Gansevoort Park Hotel. On his arm was his fiancee Jessica Biel, who, sources tell Us Weekly, was happily flaunting her engagement bling! "Jessica was showing off her ring," the source tells Us. Biel, 29, has yet to debut her new bling in public since Timberlake, 31, popped the question over the holidays in Jackson, Wyoming. The pair have been dating on and off for four and a half years. "They were very lovey. Holding hands," another source tells Us of Biel and Timberlake's PDA at the soiree. "They kissed a few times in front of the crew."

Doesn't look like Whitney died from drowning TMZ: "Whitney Houston's family was told by L.A. County Coroner officials ... the singer did not die from drowning, but rather from what appears to be a combination of Xanax and other prescription drugs  mixed with alcohol ... this according to family sources. We're told Coroner's officials informed the family there was not enough water in Whitney's lungs to lead to the conclusion that she drowned.  Our sources say the family was told Whitney may well have died before her head became submerged. And family sources tell us ... it was actually Whitney's aunt, Mary Jones, who discovered Whitney's body in the bathtub. Mary had laid out Whitney's dress for the evening on the bed and the left for about a half hour. When Whitney didn't come out of the bathroom, Mary entered, pulled Whitney out of the tub and began administering CPR. And we're told ... Whitney's mom has arranged to have the singer's body flown back to Atlanta, as early as tomorrow. The family was told the Coroner has no problem releasing the body because there is no evidence of foul play - and unless cops put a hold on the body, it can be flown back East."

Angelina Jolie to play Maleficent THR: "Disney's Maleficent will be Angelina Jolie's next movie. Jolie, speaking at a crowded news conference Saturday at the Berlin International Film Festival, where her feature directorial debut In the Land of Blood and Honey is screening out of competition, brought up the project - without directly mentioning a title - when asked about the next step in her career. "I haven't acted in two years, and I haven't done anything else since this [Land of Blood and Honey]. The next thing I am looking at is a Disney movie," said the actress."

Roseanne and John Goodman together again Deadline: "Roseanne co-stars Roseanne Barr and John Goodman together again. I’ve learned that, after lengthy negations, Goodman is in final negotiations to join Barr’s new sitcom, the NBC pilot Downwardly Mobile. Co-created by Barr, her boyfriend John Argent and Eric Gilliland, who will serve as showrunner, the multicamera Downwardly Mobile stars Barr as the proprietor of a mobile home park and surrogate mother to all of the unique people who live there in a challenging economy."

New epic love biscuit alert People: "Robin Wright and actor Ben Foster, who starred together in the film Rampart, were spotted earlier this week having an intimate dinner date at a low-key Italian restaurant in Australia. A rep for Foster had no comment, while Wright's couldn't be reached, but photos show the pair looking cozy. They are seen gazing across the table from each other, Wright touching Foster's face and Foster kissing Wright's hand. Another photo shows the couple embracing outside the restaurant. Wright is currently in Australia shooting The Grandmothers, about a pair of friends who fall for each other's sons, with Naomi Watts. Robin Wright was previously married to Sean Penn for 13 years."

What's up with Macauley Culkin? "Macaulay Culkin bailed on his monthly deejay gig Thursday night at Le Poisson Rouge in New York City's West Village ... "He's here all the time. He comes pretty often. Tonight, something just came up and he couldn't make it," a club employee told People. "But he did drop off his iPod – that's what's playing. It's a shame he's not here, because he always plays really good music." Culkin, whose gaunt appearance in a paparazzi shot made headlines Thursday, was expected to take to the turntables around 10 p.m. Around that time, a sign (above) was taped to a box downstairs by the bar telling fans a canned good would get them in for free, and with no "Mack" in attendance that dancing would be to his pre-selected tunes. "Macaulay Culkin is in perfectly good health," his rep said in a statement. "For anyone to speculate or suggest otherwise is reckless, irresponsible and destructive. The massive media attention towards the status of Mr. Culkin's health is unnecessary but duly noted."

Demi Moore gets some help "Demi Moore has not been spotted since a health crisis in January sent her to the hospital, but People has confirmed that the actress is in treatment. According to a source close to the situation, the actress is in a facility and not at home still in Los Angeles, as some have speculated. On Saturday, E! News reported that Moore, 49, checked into Cirque Lodge in Utah the week after her Jan. 23 hospitalization. "She's on total lockdown and only talking to a small group of people," a source tells E!, adding that the actress is being treated for addiction and an eating disorder. A 911 call from Jan. 23 revealed that Moore had smoked a substance "similar to incense" and that she was "convulsing," according to the female caller. Paramedics who responded assessed the actress, then took her to the hospital. Moore, who underwent rehab for drug and alcohol abuse in the mid-'80s, has been going through a rough time lately. In November, she split from her husband, Ashton Kutcher. But even before her split from Kutcher, friends were worried. "Really, it was over the last year her friends saw a change," a source recently told People. "She wasn't sleeping as well, didn't seem to be eating and looked really gaunt."

L.A. Reid back with X Factor THR: "L.A. Reid was the one X Factor cast member audiences seemed to embrace and, according to a well-placed source, L.A. Reid will be back for season 2 of the Fox singing competition series. The judge and Epic Records chairman signed his option contract on Friday, a show insider tells The Hollywood Reporter, four days after it was revealed that creator Simon Cowell had dismissed host Steve Jones and judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger from season 2 duty. Reid, a veteran music executive, was among the talents who truly shined during the show's inaugural run, showing no hesitation when it came to expressing his opinion honestly. In fact, his candid critiques had many thinking Reid was meaner than one-time Mr. Nasty, Cowell. Who else might be sitting to his and Cowell's side on next year's X Factor? THR's high-level source says rumors of Beyonce being offered an obscene amount of money are nothing more than that, but Mariah Carey, who drew instant and universal speculation when the firings were announced (the pop star was due to guest on the show during the judge's house round last year), is indeed being considered as show producers look towards strengthening their female and Midwest appeal."

Courtney Love is going to sue Page Six: "Courtney Love says she’ll sue over leaked “confidential” deposition papers filed by her daughter, Francis Bean Cobain, which allege drug use and claims her reckless behavior caused the death of the family cat and dog. Lawyers for Love say the paperwork, filed in 2009 when her now 19-year-old daughter was seeking a restraining order, was sealed by a court and should never have been released. James Janowitz, of Pryor Cashman, said he’s investigating how Web site The Fix and a new e-book, “Courtney Comes Clean,” quoted from paperwork. “I was the lawyer who worked on these [family court] proceedings in Los Angeles, and the filing was confidential and sealed as is customary in these kind of cases,” Janowitz said. “I don’t know how they were disclosed . . . When I find out what happened, we will take the appropriate legal action.” The bombshell court papers include claims the family cat died after getting “entangled” in Love’s piles of possessions, while the dog, Uncle Fester, allegedly swallowed some of Love’s prescription pills. The papers also claim Cobain worries about Love’s prescription drug use and that she’ll start a fire because she falls asleep in bed while smoking."

Al Pacino Despicable Coming Soon: "Al Pacino has joined the voice cast of Illumination Entertainment and Universal Pictures' Despicable Me 2. Steve Carell, Kristen Wiig, Miranda Cosgrove and Russell Brand are set return for the July 3, 2013 release. The first film was a big hit for Universal Picturs and Illumination Entertainment. The $69 million-budgeted Despicable Me opened on July 9, 2010 and went on to earn $543.1 million worldwide."

Cory Monteith's party shut down "Glee" star Cory Monteith threw a loud birthday party for one of his friends last night - so loud, in fact, that neighbors called the cops to have it shut down ... TMZ has learned. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ cops were called to Monteith's Hollywood Hills home at 4:30 AM because neighbors were complaining about the noise level. We're told cops spoke to Monteith and his roommate, who were both extremely nice to the officers. In the end, we're told Corey agreed to shut off the music and end the party - which was also attended by other cast members from "Glee" - but not before cops gave Corey's roommate a ticket for the loud music. No word on if any of the music in question were mash-ups of popular 90s songs."

The Help wins big at SAG AP: "Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer were the maids of honor at Sunday's Screen Actors Guild Awards, where their Deep South drama "The Help" won them acting prizes and earned the trophy for overall cast performance. Davis won as best actress and Spencer as supporting actress for "The Help," while Jean Dujardin was named best actor for the silent film "The Artist" and Christopher Plummer took the supporting-actor award for the father-son tale "Beginners." The wins boost the actors' prospects for the same honors at the Feb. 26 Academy Awards." Read more here.

Spice Girls reuniting Us: "Spice Girls singer Melanie Brown revealed the band will be reuniting this summer during a recent interview on Australian TV - but contrary to reports, it won't be for the 2012 Olympics opening ceremony. "I think the Queen's Jubilee concert is the event I'd be looking at more closely for that to happen," the 36-year-old said. Realizing she revealed too much, the singer quickly changed the subject. According to The Sun, Brown told TV crew members backstage: "I am going to be in such strife for saying that. It's all so totally bloody top-secret still." The "Scary" musician and her bandmates - Victoria "Posh" Beckham, 37, Geri "Ginger" Halliwell, 39, Emma "Baby" Bunton, 36, and Melanie "Sporty" Chisholm, 38 - last performed together during a reunion tour that kicked off in 2007. "I'm always down for a Spice Girls reunion," Brown said. "I love the Scary hair and platforms. Any time of day or night I'll be there." To mark 60 years of Queen Elizabeth II's reign, the Diamond Jubilee will take place on June 4, 2012. The group will perform in front of the royal family, including Prince William, 29, and Kate Middleton, 30."

They'll soon find a way around that People:  "Brad Pitt is well aware that an Internet search of his – or his partner, Angelina Jolie's – name yields hundreds of millions of results. But their kids would never know it. "On all the kids' computers we had our names blocked," the actor, 48, told Germany's Bild. "They can't Google their mom and dad. I don't want to make myself dependent on what other people think." Pitt adds that he and Jolie, 36, aren't exactly searching for themselves either. "We don't even notice all the noise," he said."

So sweet "Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony have found the secret to getting along - splitting up. Sources very close to the former couple tell TMZ ... months before the breakup, there was virtual radio silence between the two.  We're told when they did talk, it was loud and contentious ... often ending in tears on Jennifer's part. But since the split, we're told their bond has materially strengthened. They are communicating and co-parenting well and not fighting at all. We're told they're actually happy to do joint appearances for their new show, as well as charity work. Sources say a number of people around them are saying there are signs of a possible reconciliation, although it is by no means certain."

Not Mary Louise Parker, put still a Parker People: "The Linda Lovelace biopic has a new Gloria Steinem. Sarah Jessica Parker will replace Demi Moore as the feminist author and activist. Moore, 49, dropped out of Lovelace, starring Amanda Seyfried as the '70s porn star, after Moore was hospitalized this week. A 911 caller reported the actress had gone into convulsions after she "smoked something." Moore is now seeking "professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health," he rep says. Filming began last month in Los Angeles."

Yes, Seal and Heidi are splitting up If you're like me, all your plans for the weekend went out the window when you heard that it looked like Seal and Heidi were heading for the great town of Splitsville. And then: A glimmer of hope when it looked like it was all rumours. And then, the long hours of vigilling when you didn't know what way the winds of divorce were blowing. I know. A rollercoaster of emotions and piles on unwashed laundry. Well, we can finally relax and enter the denial period of this tragic tale, because People has this: "Heidi Klum and Seal confirm that they are splitting after almost seven years of marriage. In an exclusive statement to People, the Project Runway host and the singer say: "While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul-searching we have decided to separate. "We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart. This is an amicable process and protecting the well-being of our children remains our top priority, especially during this time of transition. "We thank our family, friends, and fans for their kind words of support. And for our children's sake, we appreciate you respecting our privacy." The couple are parents to Leni, 7, Henry, 6, Johan, 5, and Lou, 2. The supermodel, 38, and the Grammy winner, 48, began dating in 2003 after Klum had split from Italian racecar team manager Flavio Briatore. In December 2004, Seal proposed with a yellow diamond ring of more than 10 carats in a specially-built igloo on a 14,000-ft.-high glacier in Whistler, B.C. Klum described it as "a once-in-a-lifetime event." And TMZ has this: "Heidi Klum is divorcing Seal largely because she has had it with his volcanic temper ... TMZ has learned. Sources directly connected with the couple tell us ... Heidi's decision to divorce Seal has nothing to do with a third person. There is NO issue of infidelity. But Seal's inability to control his anger has become too much for Heidi to take, in no small part because it's affecting their children. TMZ broke the story that Heidi will divorce Seal, and we've learned this was not a snap decision. As one source said, "It was a long time in coming." We're also told ... their careers also played a part in Heidi's decision. She has become a mega-entrepreneur and extremely rich, and that professional evolution has created a distance between them."

Ryan Murphy assembles cast for A Normal Heart THR: "Ryan Murphy is putting together an all-star cast for his latest film project, the big-screen adaptation of the Tony Award-winning drama The Normal Heart, being produced by Brad Pitt’s Plan B shingle. Julia Roberts and Alec Baldwin, plus White Collar star Matt Bomer and Big Bang Theory's Jim Parsons, are joining Mark Ruffalo in the autobiographical drama, written by Larry Kramer, that details the rise of HIV/AIDS in New York’s gay community in the 1980s. Murphy, who hit mainstream success with Glee, is directing from a script by Kramer."

Tracy Morgan rushed to hospital "Tracy Morgan was rushed to a hospital Sunday at the Sundance Film Festival - after the actor  fell unconscious at an award ceremony ... TMZ has learned. Tracy was being honored at the Creative Coalition Spotlight Awards in Park City, Utah - and sources tell TMZ, he appeared extremely intoxicated during his award acceptance speech We're told Tracy was escorted out of the building soon after his speech - and fell unconscious outside the building ... Amy Roberts, a spokeswoman for Park City Medical Center, tells TMZ no drugs or alcohol were found in Tracy's system upon medical evaluation. Morgan's rep, Lewis Kay, also released a statement saying, "From a combination of exhaustion and altitude, Tracy is seeking medical attention."

Spawn People: "Bryce Dallas Howard and husband Seth Gabel welcomed a daughter on Thursday, Bryce's proud father, movie director Ron Howard, Tweeted on Sunday. "Beatrice Jean Howard-Gabel Born Jan 19 2012 8lbs 6oz Bryce & Baby B are spectacular Daddy Seth & brother Theo are beaming ear to ear :-) " the filmmaker announced Sunday."

Splitsville "Mena Suvari is calling it quits on her 18-month marriage to concert producer Simone Sestito. An attorney for the actress, 32, filed divorce papers on her behalf on Friday in L.A. County Superior Court, her rep confirms to People. According to court papers obtained by People, Suvari cited "irreconcilable differences" 
and asked that Sestito receive no spousal support. She indicated that the pair's separation date was Nov. 1, 2011. Suvari and Sestito married in June 2010 in Italy, in a private church in the Vatican City in what the pair called a "romantic" wedding. The couple met at the Toronto Film Festival in 2007 and were engaged in 2008. This will be Suvari's second divorce; she split from her first husband, cinematographer Robert Brinkmann, in 2005."

Because four children with three different women just isn't enough  People: "Kelsey Grammer is about to be on double duty.  The Boss star seemed thrilled to gush about expectant wife Kayte Walsh, 32, and announce that they are having twins. "I'm really looking forward to meeting these new arrivals," Grammer, 56, told reporters backstage at the Golden Globe Awards after his win. "Fatherhood's always different, based upon the character that comes into your life. They arrive and tell you what you have to do."

Oh, goody LA Times: "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2" may not be the end of Bella, Edward and Jacob's on-screen journey, according to the head of the franchise's new Hollywood home. The chief executive of Lions Gate Entertainment, which on Friday acquired "Twilight" film studio Summit Entertainment for $412.5 million, said he believes the film franchise will continue to have value to his company,even after the Nov. 16 release of the fifth movie completes the adaptation of author Stephenie Meyer's four books. "I'm anticipating 'Breaking Dawn Part 2' being $700 million-plus in worldwide box office," said Jon Feltheimer, predicting the next film would slightly outdo the $697 million global take of "Breaking Dawn Part 1." ... One person close to the acquisition deal but not authorized to speak publicly suggested that because Lions Gate, unlike Summit, has a television production unit, it could adapt "Twilight" for the small screen. Asked whether there was a possibility of bringing "Twilight" to television, Feltheimer answered, "I would certainly hope so."

The promised child is finally here People: "Beyoncé and Jay-Z are now Mom and Dad! The singer, whose pregnancy was closely watched and the subject of various rumors, gave birth to a baby girl in New York on Saturday, according to her hometown paper. Mom and baby are doing fine, the Houston Chronicle reports. Sources tell E! News the little girl's name is Blue Ivy Carter. Apparently, she's a looker. "The most beautiful girl in the world," Beyoncé's sister, Solange Knowles, Tweeted Sunday morning. Friends of the superstar couple also used Twitter to offer public messages of congratulations: "Welcome to the world princess Carter!" Rihanna Tweeted Saturday night. "Love Aunty Rih." "Welcome to the world Blue!" Gwyneth Paltrow wrote on her Twitter page Sunday morning. "We love you already." Russell Simmons also acknowledged the new parents on Twitter: "congrats to my good friends Beyonce and Jay-Z," he said. Beyoncé, 30, checked into Lenox Hill Hospital on New York's Upper East Side on Friday, more than a month before her previously stated due date in February."

New Clooney project The Wrap: "George Clooney has started to work on his next project, writing, directing and starring in a big-budget movie about the men who chased down the stolen art of Europe during World War II, he told TheWrap on Saturday. “The Monuments Men,” which Clooney is co-writing with his producing partner Grant Heslov, will tell the story of a hand-picked group of art experts chosen by the U.S. government to retrieve artwork stolen by the Nazis. “I’m excited about it,” Clooney told TheWrap at the Palm Springs Film Festival on Saturday. “It’s a fun movie because it could be big entertainment. It’s a big budget, you can’t do it small - it’s landing in Normandy.” The movie will be based on the book “The Monuments Men: Allied Heroes, Nazi Thieves, and the Greatest Treasure Hunt in History,” by Robert M. Edsel."

Creepy Selena Gomez stalker gets restrained E!: "A judge has granted Selena Gomez a three-year restraining order against the obsessed man who once threatened to kill the teen phenom and otherwise caused her extreme fear. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge William D. Stewart granted the order against 46-year-old Thomas Brodnicki, ordering him to stay at least 100 yards away from both Gomez and her family for the next few years. As it happens, the restraint was a long time coming. Gomez first requested the protective order against Brodnicki back in October, after the man admitted to his therapist that he had conversations with God about killing the Wizards of Waverly Place star. Prosecutors even initially alleged that he stalked Gomez between July and October, though that charge was dropped last year."

What about the "pals" and "insiders?" People: "Katy Perry has something to say – and she doesn't need anyone to say it for her. "Concerning the gossip, I want to be clear that NO ONE speaks for me. Not a blog, magazine, 'close sources' or my family," the singer, whose husband Russell Brand filed for divorce on Dec. 30, said on Twitter Saturday. Perry, 27, didn't only address rumors surrounding her split from Brand, who cited irreconcilable differences in the divorce. She also thanked supporters for their concern and well-wishes during a difficult time. "I am so grateful for all the love and support I've had from people around the world," she Tweeted. "You guys have made my heart happy again." The couple were married in India in a lavish, multi-day ceremony in October 2010."

So, the holidays are over. New year with a clean slate. A slate soon to be completely sullied by amoral behavior, profitable lying, fake relationships and sub-par remakes. It my favourite time. Like looking at a pristine canvas while holding a bucket of lead paint, toe-nail clippings and dead rats and wondering where to begin.

So what really happened to Russell Brand and Katy Perry's forever-love? "Sources close to Katy Perry and Russell Brand tell TMZ ... the couple was infatuated with each other when they tied the knot, but the honeymoon ended very quickly. According to our sources, Katy and Russell were initially head over heels for each other – each fascinated to be with someone who was an extreme opposite. But we're told the two began a regime of constant bickering after they got married - often in front of people at clubs and awards shows. They're both very stubborn and neither would easily back down. Our sources tell us ... because of the friction and their schedules, they never spent long periods of time with each other. One big bone of contention  ... Russell was much more of a homebody than Katy.  Katy loved going out and partying, while Russell (who is sober) didn't enjoy the scene at all. No more SYTYCD result shows Deadline: "Fox’s summer staple So You Think You Can Dance, which was renewed for a ninth season in October, will undergo a format change, scaling down from two shows a week to one. “Fox have canceled the results show so I will have to change the format of SYTYCD,” the show’s co-creator/executive producer/judge Nigel Lythgoe tweeted today. “At least we have another season at the end of May.” The move comes days before SYTYCD‘s first Season 9 auditions, which will be held next week in Atlanta. “I’m certainly not mad at Fox — they have supported SYTYCD for 9 seasons,” Lythgoe wrote. “With the help of (Fox’s head of alternative) Mike Darnell I think we have some great new ideas.” SYTYCD, whose most recent eight season was down in the ratings from Season 7, will not be the first competition show to air once a week. Most recently, NBC’s The Voice started off that way before expanding to 2 nights following its early success."

Minka Kelly and Derek Jeter back together again "Five months after announcing their break-up, Derek Jeter and Minka Kelly appear to have rekindled their romance with a vacation in Paris, PEOPLE has learned. Over the holiday weekend, the Yankee slugger, 37, and Charlie's Angels actress, 31, who were staying with friends in a boutique hotel on the Left Bank, took in some of the city's hottest tourist attractions, including Musée D'Orsay on Thursday. On Saturday, they visited the Montmartre district, where they checked out Paris' Sacré-Coeur church. And Kelly didn't let the rainy day dampen her spirits, taking pictures of Jeter on her cell phone while sightseeing. "They looked much in love," an observer tells People. Tom Cruise still rules the box office Us: "Tom Cruise is still riding high at the box office. The fourth installment in his Mission: Impossible film franchise, Ghost Protocol, topped the three-day New Year's weekend box office with an estimated $31.3 million gross according to early Sunday totals. Having debuted December 21, the action flick is expected to surpass Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows as the top-grossing December 2011 film. Indeed, Sherlock Holmes finished out the year strong, earning $22.1 million during the holiday haul. The animated sequel Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked settled comfortably into this weekend's third place spot, raking in $18.3 million in receipts from family-friendly moviegoers. Rounding out the New Year's Eve weekend top five were Warhorse ($16.94 million) and the Rooney Mara based-on-the-book pic The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, which earned $16.8 million."

Good thinking "Maria Shriver is telling friends she's now unsure if she wants to divorce Arnold Schwarzenegger ... TMZ has learned. We're told Maria is torn, partly because of her strong religious beliefs that do not include divorce.  Making matters even more complicated - we're told Arnold still desperately wants Maria back, and has been "extremely sweet" to her and has made numerous gestures - which include presents - to win Maria back. Maria filed for divorce on July 1, though she moved out months earlier.  She's already bought a mansion in Brentwood, CA, which she's in the process of renovating."

All is forgiven People: "Adam Lambert and boyfriend Sauli Koskinen appear to be way past the alleged drunken bar fight that got them arrested in Helsinki last Thursday. Right after the mishap, Lambert, 29, said he and his Finnish Big Brother winner beau, 26, were "laughing bout it," and blamed jetlag and vodka for the ordeal. And it seems the family of Lambert's significant other hasn't taken the arrest too seriously either. "Xmas Eve with the Koskinens!" the American Idol runner-up Tweeted on Saturday along with a picture of him and Koshinen decked out in a festive hat. "Just had a huge traditional Finnish feast and now opening gifts! Merry and bright!" Shortly following Thursday's jail release, Koskinen blogged in Finnish: "Love is not always easy, but it's forever."

Tom Cruise wins the box office I saw MI:4 and quite enjoyed it. And not just because of the Batman prelude. A bit too long, perhaps, but fun. I also saw Sherlock Holmes, which I suppose was kinda not very great. Except, I can't judge anything with Robert Downey Jr. in it because I'm so in love with him. Also saw Young Adult, which was pretty great and pretty horribly sad. And, finally saw The Descendants, which I loved. I usually don't appreciate George Clooney because I think he always plays George Clooney, but damn, this was good ... I think I saw something else, too. But I can't remember what. So, it probably sucked. This from Reuters: "Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol" easily beat its rivals in the race to No. 1 at box offices over the Christmas holiday weekend, returning action star Tom Cruise to winning form after several recent flops. "Ghost Protocol," the fourth movie in Cruise's "Mission: Impossible" series, earned an estimated $46 million at U.S. and Canadian theaters in the four days ending on Monday, according to its distributor Paramount Pictures. Its total estimated ticket sales have reached $78.6 million after debuting in Imax and other large-screen theaters last weekend. Elsewhere, Warner Bros.' "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows" took the No. 2 spot with an estimated $31.8 million over the four days, followed by 20th Century Fox family comedy "Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked" with a $20 million total that barely put it ahead of No. 4, adult thriller "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo," at $19.4 million.

I always try to limit that particular pattern to one piece of clothing, but discovered, too late, that, thanks to leopard-print pants and leopard-print coat (and my hair being completely bleeped up by the gale-force winds), I now look like a retired hooker on her way to the bordello reunion. Sherlock wins lukewarm box office Us: "Jude Law and Robert Downey, Jr.'s Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows triumphed over Cruise's Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol this weekend in theaters, earning an estimated $40 million in box office receipts. Opening in the top spot, Guy Richie's adventure flick far exceeded the earnings of Cruise's M:I, which took in $13 million in its debut, limited release weekend. Grossing $23.5 million, Fox's animated Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked snuck in between the two flicks for a second place finish. The ensemble holiday-themed New Year's Eve took a nosedive this weekend, finishing in fourth place with a $7.4 million take, just seven days after "winning" the worst weekend box office in three years, with $13.7 million in receipts. Rounding out top 5 weekend flicks was Jonah Hill's Fox comedy The Sitter, which netted $4.4 million."

No one wants to pay for Lindsay "Amidst the holiday melee, shoppers aren’t rushing to pick up their copy of the much-talked about Lindsay Lohan issue of Playboy this week ... In fact, interest seems low in seeing Lohan’s intensely air-brushed impersonation of Marilyn Monroe in glossy print. Fox411 spent Friday morning trolling the shelves of newsstands and gas stations from New York to Philadelphia only to be confronted with the same reality at each: Lohan’s glassy-eyed stare peaking above the backs of more family friendly fare, with no one staring back or making a purchase. “No one has bought it,” was the resounding answer to our query at each stop. It shouldn’t come as a surprise. Once the photos were leaked, the response to the spread, for which Playboy paid a reported $1 million, were lukewarm across the board “I'm not surprised at all. Despite Playboy's hype, there was nothing particularly shocking or new about this shoot. While these shots may have been slightly closer to full frontal than Lindsay's previous shots, they weren't actually full frontal; there was also nothing particularly new about Lindsay dressing up as Marilyn Monroe,” says Lux Alptraum, editor of Fleshbot.com."

Spawn "He nabbed a mirror ball trophy on Dancing With the Stars last month, but the biggest and best prize is yet to come. J.R. Martinez tells People exclusively that he and girlfriend Diana Gonzalez-Jones are expecting their first child next spring. "We found out just last week it's a girl and we are over the moon," Martinez, 28, says. "Diana has a little baby bump now and it's the cutest thing ever. With the holidays coming up, this is the biggest and best gift we could get."

Erm ... okay Us: "With Christmas just one week away, Justin Bieber isn't planning to head to bed early Dec. 24 to await the arrival of Santa Claus.
