Terrible weekend at the box office Us: "Well, at least you can't blame any star in particular for this one. New Year's Eve - the ensemble romantic comedy starring dozens of A-listers including Ashton Kutcher, Halle Berry, Katherine Heigl, Sarah Jessica Parker, Jessica Biel, Zac Efron, Lea Michele and many others - "won" the box office weekend with a dismal $13.7 million gross. Variety reports that, overall, it was worst weekend at the domestic box office in three years. While New Year's Eve fell below expectations, Jonah Hill's comedy The Sitter, at number two, earned $10 million in its first weekend, as roughly projected earlier this week. Landing in third place was Breaking Dawn Part 1 in its third week out - with an overall gross now just below $260 million. The Muppets ($7.1 million) and Arthur Christmas ($6.6 million) rounded out the top five."

Interesting Coming Soon: "George Clooney has his sights set on another period biopic. Deadline reports that his Smokehouse Pictures is set to team with Sony on the story of Tom and Dick Smothers, specifically focusing on their television variety show, "The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour" that ran in the late 60's. The screenplay, to be drafted by Brian Hecker and Craig Sherman, is based "Dangerously Funny: The Uncensored Story of the Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour" by David Bianculli. Bianculli, a television critic and founder of TV Worth Watching, wrote the fully authorized book in 2009."

All together now: Haven't the people of Haiti gone through enough? "As the end of the year draws near, Kim Kardashian is stepping back from the drama in her personal life to spend some time giving back in Haiti. Kardashian is in the earthquake-ravaged country with the charity group We Advance, along with her mom, Kris Jenner, and Prime Suspect star Maria Bello, who co-founded the organization. "She connected with Mario Bello and is there with Maria's foundation and also with her mom," a source close to Kardashian tells People. "Her intention was always to take the end of the year to focus on some of the other things that are important to her and this trip was one."

That's not very nice, Brooke "Charlie Sheen's ex-wife is facing personal troubles again. Brooke Mueller, 34, was arrested Friday evening in Aspen, Colo., for cocaine possession and assault, Blair Weyer, a spokeswoman for the Aspen Police Department, confirms to People. According to a police statement, "On Dec. 2, 2011, at approximately 11:32 p.m., officers with the Aspen Police Department were on a routine walk through at the [music venue] Belly Up, 450 S. Galena Street, Aspen when they contacted a woman who reported an assault which had taken place. The woman identified Brooke Mueller, 34, of Los Angeles, California as the aggressor.  After midnight, December 3, 2011, Aspen Police located Mueller at [the nightclub] Escobar, 426 E. Hyman Ave, Aspen. Mueller was arrested and charged with assault in the third degree (class one misdemeanor) and possession of cocaine with intent to distribute (class four felony). Mueller posted bond of $11,000 and was released with a District Court date of December 19, 2011."  Mueller, who's done multiple stints in rehab, has long struggled with addiction. Her rep, Steve Honig, told People, “We are declining comment.”

Peter Weller joins Star Trek Deadline: "Peter Weller’s reps confirm he’s joining the cast of JJ Abrams’ Star Trek sequel, in what is a principal role but one they would not specify. Weller, best known in feature scifi circles for his iconic role as Robocop has been busy as a director, and for acting stints on 24, Dexter, Fringe and Psych. Paramount will release the Star Trek sequel May 17, 2013. Alice Eve and Benicio Del Toro are likely to take part, joining the returning original cast that is headed by Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto. Who should Weller play? Paramount and Abrams spent the weekend knocking down a speculative report Del Toro would play the Kahn role that Ricardo Montalban played in the original Star Trek series and the 1982 feature film."

That's not very nice, Johnny "Johnny Depp's hired muscle put a handicapped woman in the hospital Thursday night - this according to a police report filed by the woman in question. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... 52-year-old Robyn Ecker filed the report claiming she was celebrating her husband's birthday at the Iggy Pop concert in L.A. - treating him to $600-a-pop seats at the Palladium ... and Johnny was seated right beside her, surrounded by bodyguards. Ecker claims she was having a blast, dancing her face off ... when she accidentally strayed a little too close to Johnny's table. According to Ecker, Depp's bodyguards pounced on her out of nowhere - grabbing her wrists and wrestling her to the ground. Soon as she regained composure, Ecker says she left and got herself checked out at the hospital. Ecker's assistant tells TMZ, Robyn and her party had been drinking during the evening. Law enforcement sources tell us, Robyn appeared wasted when she made the report. Attempts to reach Depp's people were unsuccessful."

Maybe this one will be like the book Coming Soon: "With the Total Recall remake coming out next year, producer Neal Moritz is next turning his attention to a reboot of Paul Verhoeven's 1997 sci-fi film Starship Troopers, which was loosely based on the novel by Robert A. Heinlein. Vulture has the news, saying that Thor and X-Men: First Class screenwriters Ashley Edward Miller and Zack Stentz have come on board to write the script. The duo also worked on episodes of "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" and "Fringe." The film earned $121.2 million in theaters worldwide."

(Those of you who care deeply about my exciting life will be happy to know that I did indeed manage to find yard waste bags and finish the raking for the year. I know. The thrills are overwhelming). Here are some news:

Lindsay's doing well at the morgue "Maybe structure is exactly what Lindsay Lohan needed - because TMZ has learned she's not only on pace to complete her court-ordered stints at the morgue ... she's WAY ahead of schedule. Law enforcement sources tell us ... Lohan has already completed 10 of her 12 required morgue duty shifts - impressive considering she still has another THREE WEEKS to spare. In fact, we're told Lindsay doesn't just plan to knock out the remaining two shifts by the Dec. 14 deadline - but she also wants to get a head start on the hours she has to complete by her 2nd status hearing. Law enforcement tell us ... Lindsay has a pretty damn good reputation at the morgue - polite, hard-working and never complains about the work. Judge Sautner had said her sentence essentially put the keys to Lindsay's freedom in her own hands - and at this point, it looks like she's making the most of her opportunity to stay out of the clink."

More romantic than your weekend "Ryan Gosling sure knows how to make a girl feel special! The 31-year-old actor surprised love of two months Eva Mendes on the set of Holly Motors in Paris, France Friday, two insiders confirm to Us Weekly. "Ryan flew out to be with Eva as soon as she wrapped Holly Motors," one source says. "The film was a fairly small production and Eva was good about being focused and without many distractions on set." A second insider adds that Mendes, 37, "was totally shocked" when Gosling showed up unannounced. "They were talking all the time so she had no hints that he was coming," the second insider tells Us. "She was really homesick and missed him, even though she practically just left to shoot!" The following day, the paramours snuck in a few kisses while strolling arm-in-arm through Pere Lachaise cemetery. The Beyond the Pines costars first began dating in September." Furthermore, People reports that the two lovebirds did the tour of the Catacombs. Not all that important, except that I want to say that if you're in Paris, you must do that tour. It is absolutely amazing. Especially if you like looking at the beautifully arranged bones of millions of people.   

Spawn People: 'Lily Allen has a new reason to smile. The pop star and her husband, Sam Cooper, welcomed their first child, a girl, on Friday, according to various reports. And the well-wishers are already chiming in. Her friend Sam Chew Tweeted this message: "sending out love to lily, sam and mini cooper...... YES." ... Allen, 26, wed Cooper, a painter and decorator, in Gloucestershire, England, last June, when she revealed she was expecting her bundle of joy. She has also since taken his last name. Her U.K. rep had no comment on the birth of their daughter. The birth comes after several hardships for the singer. She lost a baby boy in November 2010, after contracting a viral infection six months into her pregnancy. She also miscarried her first pregnancy in January 2008, while she was dating British musician Ed Simons."

Justin Timberlake attends marine ball "This summer, Justin Timberlake accepted a servicewoman's invitation to attend the Instructor Battalion Marine Corps Ball, and Saturday he made good on that promise. Timberlake was combat instructor Kelsey De Santis's date to Saturday's dance at the Richmond Convention Center in Richmond, Va. The singer was wooed to the ball via video, when his Marine, a champion mixed martial artist in her off-time, made her plea on YouTube. "So, Justin," she said in her online invite. "I'm going to call you out and ask you to come to the Marine Corps ball with me on Nov. 12. ... And if you can't go, all I have to say is, cry me a river." Luckily, she had nothing to cry about. One fellow Marine who attended the ball told People, "We all brought sexy back! Justin seemed to have a good time, and it was great to see him there." BUT WAIT! THERE'S MORE! Justin wrote a long post on his blog about the experience.

Immortals wins the box office I didn't go to the movies this weekend because I was busy playing Plants vs. Zombies collecting mittens for those less fortunate than myself. So it's not my fault that Immortals made $32 millions and won the box office. In second place was Jack and Jill with $26 million, while Puss in Boots, which has now made $108 million, was in third with $25.5 million. Tower Heist was fourth with $13 million and J. Edgar took in $11.5 for fifth. Box Office Mojo.  

Kim Kardashian hires another lawyer "Kim Kardashian is finally firing back at the guy who has been making claims her wedding was a sham - by hiring legal pit bull Marty Singer to put a muzzle on him ... TMZ has learned. A guy by the name of Jonathan Jaxson has been doing a media tour to promote his book (coincidence?) and saying Kim never wanted to marry Kris Humphries and her wedding was all staged. Jaxson claims he knows this because he did PR work for her, but a source close to Kim tells us they worked together once, years ago, on a blog ... and that Kim barely remembers who he is. We're told Kim is particularly baffled how Jaxson can talk about Kim's wedding plans ... when she hasn't spoken to him in years. But as part of their brief time together, we're told Kim had Jaxson sign a confidentiality agreement -- which Kim clearly feels he's violating now. Kim has now hired Marty Singer, who submitted papers to a private arbitration to attempt to shut Jaxson up immediately ... When contacted, Jonathan Jaxson told us, "I have never signed an agreement dealing with confidentiality with Kim Kardashian.  I have an agreement in my possession that does not have either parties signature on it."

Sasha Baron Cohen joins Django Unchained Coming Soon: "Variety is reporting that actor/comic Sacha Baron Cohen is in final negotiations to join Quentin Tarantino's star-studded Western Django Unchained, playing a gambler named Scotty who buys the title character's wife as a companion. It's reportedly a small role but Tarantino was adamant on having Baron Cohen play the part. The slave-turned-bounty hunter Django himself is played by Jamie Foxx while Leonardo DiCaprio and Christoph Waltz are the other primary leads in a cast that includes Samuel L. Jackson, Kurt Russell, Don Johnson, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Kerry Washington, Anthony LaPaglia, RZA, and more."

Splitsville People: "Zoe Saldana has split from her fiancé, entrepreneur Keith Britton. The pair "have amicably separated after 11 years," her rep said in a statement. Avatar star Saldana, 33, and Britton, 35, revealed their engagement in June 2010. They are also business partners in the website My Fashion Data Base. "Saldana and Britton remain committed business partners as co-founders of fashion resource MyFDB.com," the statement continues."

Fun with Avril "Brody Jenner was cracked in the head with a bottle trying to break up a fight in Hollywood early Sunday morning - and law enforcement tells TMZ ... the fight was between an unknown girl and Brody's GF, Avril Lavigne. According to our sources, Avril got into a dust-up shortly before 1:00 AM at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. We're told when Brody tried to intervene ... he took a bottle to the head from someone for his troubles. Law enforcement sources tell us hotel security broke up the fight and detained Brody and others involved. Police were called to the hotel and when all was said and done ... we're told the police report listed Brody as the victim of an assault with a deadly weapon. Our sources say Brody was the only one involved who spoke to police - the other combatants (including Avril) had split by the time they arrived. We're told Brody refused medical attention and went to the hospital on his own. No arrests were made. Brody tweeted, "Interesting Saturday night... Just got of the hospital with a new scar on my face.. Charges/chargers!!!"

And speaking of head wounds Us: "Kelly Osbourne is on the mend. The 27-year-old E! Fashion Police cohost and Dancing With the Stars alum was treated at a Miami hospital this weekend after a scary incident that left her with a head injury. "Long story short, I cracked my head open then kept passing out," Osbourne - who was in Miami to attend a model casting call for Madonna's Material Girl clothing line - Tweeted Sunday. "I have the all clear [and] my mum [Sharon Osbourne] came to get me." While details are unclear as to the circumstances of her injury, Osbourne encouraged fans to watch her mom's daytime series, The Talk, on Monday for the full story. "I just want to thank all the incredible doctors and nurses at Mercy hospital in Miami for taking such good care of me," Osbourne Tweeted. "You guys really are amazing!"

Please let him be a Klingon Vulture: "Let's hope this one goes better than Benicio Del Toro's last big-budget studio movie: Variety is reporting that the Oscar-winning actor has been courted by J.J. Abrams to play the baddie in his highly anticipated Star Trek sequel, and a formal offer to Del Toro is expected to go out this weekend. Who would he be playing? Nobody seems to know, and according to Variety, Del Toro hasn't been told either. Could the strict secrecy mean that he'll be filling Ricardo Montalban's revealing blouse as Khan?"

How many places can she be in at once? Us: "Jennifer Aniston's got some posh new digs! The Hollywood Reporter says the Wanderlust star, 42, has reportedly snapped up a posh $9 million pad in Manhattan's Gramercy Park neighborhood. Her new three-bedroom, 2,873-square-foot space includes building perks like housekeeping, room and butler service and a membership to the luxe David Barton gym. Maintenance fees alone are said to run over $11,000 per month, but it's worth it for this space, which THR says is the only unit in the building that looks out on Gramercy Park from the master bedroom. Aniston will have plenty of places to crash when she's in New York City: This listing is the third multi-million dollar apartment she's snapped up this year."

But those were great excuses TMZ: "Michael Lohan was true to form when he appeared in court Saturday, making crazy excuses that an angry judge didn't buy ... so Michael's gonna stay in jail for a while. Michael - who allegedly violated a restraining order and then tried to escape cops and falling four stories - spoke to the judge from the jail on a monitor. Michael, who was in a wheelchair and handcuffs, had his lawyer explain there are three reasons why Mr. Lohan needed his freedom: 1. He's got some TV shoot with Dr. Drew. 2. Lindsay's hearing is coming up on Wednesday. 3. He's got an upcoming celebrity boxing match with Tareq Salahi. Surprise - the judge wasn't moved, but was VERY upset at M.L. Kate Major testified against Michael, crying as she told the judge about Michael's incessant calling. Michael is being held without bail."

Hitched "With a little bit of Southern charm, Eva Amurri and Kyle Martino, a former MLS soccer player who is now a soccer commentator, were married Saturday afternoon in historic Charleston, S.C, her rep confirms exclusively to People. The nuptials were hosted by Amurri's mom Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins – who helped raise the bride during his 21-year-long relationship with her mother – and capped off a weekend of festivities including a scavenger hunt, cocktail party and casual oyster roast and barbeque rehearsal dinner. The ceremony, officiated by Sister Helen Prejean – about whom the movie Dead Man Walking, starring Sarandon, was made – was to be followed by a black-tie celebration of dinner and dancing and guests toasted with Perrier Jouet champagne."

Hilary Swank fires a whole bunch of people TMZ: "Hilary Swank got serious backlash after appearing at the birthday party for a murdering warlord ... so she's reportedly firing the people who put her in that position. Swank attended a concert in Chechnya for president Ramzan Kadyrov on October 5 and immediately took heat from human rights groups ... probably because Kadyrov has a section on his Wikipedia page devoted entirely to his alleged human rights abuses. Swank apologized, but according to The Independent ... it's her manager, Jason Weinberg, who is sorry now. The paper says he was let go last week and two of her agents at CAA, Amie Yavor and Josh Lieberman, are next to go.  Not among those getting the boot - her agent/boyfriend, John Campisi. Emails to Swank's camp (what's left of them) were not returned."

Cat wins box office Coming Soon: "Puss In Boots ... grossed an estimated $34 million in its opening weekend, the weakest showing for the Dreamworks since 2006's Flushed Away. Part of that weak opening can be attributed to the snowstorm, although it also faced Game 7 of the World Series on Friday night and Halloween parties on both nights, which also may have limited the movie's audience ... After setting an October opening record, Paranormal Activity 3 dropped to second place with $18.5 million, a whopping 65 per cent loss of business from its opening weekend. ...
Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried were paired for Andrew (Gattaca) Niccol's sci-fi thriller In Time, which opened in third place with just $12 million, also weaker than expected. Taking 4th place was Craig Brewer's remake of Footloose (Paramount) with $5.4 million ... The Rum Diary took fifth with just $5 millon."

Why was Bradley Cooper not there to comfort her? "Jennifer Lopez was spreading the love on Saturday night, but deep inside she was feeling mixed emotions. At her jam-packed Mohegan Sun concert in Montville, Conn., the 42-year-old put together a bit focused around her love songs. "You want to talk about love? I can talk about love. Oh, the stories!" she said during a heartfelt speech to the audience before breaking out with her hit "If You Had My Love." Afterwards she said, "That's the first song I wrote about love. And this is the last song I wrote about love. A lot has happened since then!" As she belted out one of her newer songs, a montage of male and female dance pairs whirled behind her. They paid homage to her past romances: her with a Diddy-esque person, her and a Ben Affleck type and lastly her and a Marc Anthony lookalike. "A little trip down memory lane," the star, who separated from her husband of seven years Marc Anthony in July, said, as she paused and looked down. When the camera zoomed in and showed her starting to tear up, the crowd gave her a standing ovation."

Apparently no actresses were available THR: "Kim Kardashian will move to the big screen for a role in Tyler Perry’s upcoming film, The Marriage Counselor, Lionsgate confirmed. The Marriage Counselor is adapted from Perry's 10th play, which began touring in 2008. The story centers around a married couple – an accountant and an Ivy League-educated marriage counselor – whose relationship begins to fall apart after his displaced parents move in. The marriage counselor, Judith, stops practicing what she preaches when she rekindles a relationship with an old college flame. Kardashian, repped by WME, will play Judith’s co-worker in the film."

What business is there to manage? "Lindsay Lohan is cleaning out more than just trash bins at the morgue - TMZ has learned she's kicking her business manager to the curb. Sources close to LiLo tell TMZ she decided to split with her business manager, Lou Taylor. We're told Lindsay felt Taylor (who also manages Britney Spears) didn't have the time to manage her and Lohan wanted someone who could put more effort into her. According to our sources, Lindsay felt her finances (which were Taylor's responsibility) were beginning to slip through the cracks and word was getting back to her that her balances were not being handled in a timely manner ... in part because Taylor is based in Tennessee. Lohan's rep, Steve Honig, tells TMZ the split was amicable and Lohan and Taylor remain friends."

More Sherlock Deadline: "Warner Bros has set Drew Pearce to write Sherlock Holmes 3, continuing the Guy Ritchie-directed series that stars Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law. The deal will soon be sealed with Pearce, who is currently writing Iron Man 3, which will also star Downey. This development comes even before the opening of the second installment of the franchise, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, which bows December 16."

Ben Affleck to direct The Stand Deadline: "Warner Bros has chosen Ben Affleck to adapt and direct The Stand, Stephen King’s apocalyptic mammoth book. Affleck has become a cornerstone director for the studio, but this would be his greatest challenge yet. Even King has been reticent about the idea of making a feature of his book, which previously was turned into a miniseries. With The Town and Gone Baby Gone, Affleck has shown the grit necessary to handle such an unforgettable tale. It’s early days, but the studio loves Affleck, who’s now directing Argo."

Robert Downey Jr. is super-keen on Mel Gibson Us: "Mel Gibson has a real friend in Robert Downey Jr. Friday night Downey, 46, accepted an American Cinematheque Award in Beverly Hills, and the actor used his time on stage to ask Hollywood to forgive Gibson, 55. "Unless you are without sin - and if you are, you are in the wrong f**king industry - you should forgive him and let him work," the Iron Man star said. Downey, who famously struggled with substance abuse himself in the past, costarred with Gibson in the 1990 film Air America. "He taught my many things, and I will use the 'C' word - courage," Downey said. "There's nothing so much wrong with him. Of course you have to worry about the guy making the judgment here. He's a good dude with a good heart. Gibson has been open about his battle with alcoholism; throughout the years he has been repeatedly taped making offensive, anti-Semitic remarks, including a drunken rant during a 2006 arrest in Malibu. In March, he pled no contest for one misdemeanor count of spousal battery, related to a Jan. 6, 2010 incident with his ex Oksana Grigorieva. During the pair's custody case for their 23-month-old daughter Lucia, Gibson admitted, "I slapped Oksana with an open hand in an attempt to bring her back to reality." But Downey, who is proudly clean and sober today, isn't about to judge Gibson. "Mel and I have the same lawyer, same publicist, and same shrink. I couldn't get hired and he cast me," Downey said. "He said if I accepted responsibility - he called it hugging the cactus - long enough, my life would take meaning. And if he helped me, I would help the next guy. But it was not reasonable to expect the next guy would be him."

Reel Steel, barely, stays atop box office The boxing robot movie made $16.3 million this weekend, while new release (not-the-actual) Footloose made $16.1. In third was (absolutely-not-the-real) Thing with $8.7. The Ides of March made $7.5 and the dolphin movie was fifth with $6.3. Box Office Mojo.

Noooooo "Sonic Youth's Kim Gordon and Thurston Moore have split up after 27 years of marriage, their rep confirms to Us Weekly. "Sonic Youth, with both Kim and Thurston involved, will proceed with its South American tour dates in November," their rep said in a statement. "Plans beyond that tour are uncertain. The couple has requested respect for their personal privacy and does not wish to issue further comment." Married since 1984, Gordon, 58, and Moore, 53, have a 17-year-old daughter Coco."

The TV actress, 40, who most notably played Brenda Walsh, said "I do" to her fiancé Kurt Iswarienko at sunset, PEOPLE has confirmed. The black-tie affair took place at a private estate nestled in the hills. The nuptials reportedly are airing on the season finale of Doherty and her new hubby's upcoming WEtv reality series about planning for the big day. The third time's the charm for the Badass author, who previously had short-lived marriages to Ashley Hamilton and notorious Paris Hilton sex-tape costar, Rick Salomon."

No surprise there E! "Charlie's Angels has been canceled after four episodes. However, if you enjoyed the episodes that did air, there is a bit of silver lining in store for you… While production has officially shut down, episodes that have already been filmed will continue to air on Thursday nights in its 8 p.m. time slot until ABC decides what will replace Charlie's Angels. The Drew Barrymore-produced remake starring Minka Kelly, Rachael Taylor and Annie Ilonzeh failed to bring in competitive ratings against The X-Factor on Fox and NBC's Thursday night lineup of comedy. Last night's episode did see a slight climb in ratings, but clearly it wasn't enough for the network to keep it running. Charlie's Angels joins other victims Free Agents (NBC), The Playboy Club (NBC), How to Be a Gentleman (CBS) and H8R (CW) in this season's Fall TV graveyard."

I hope your turkey was plump and delicious, as opposed to Beyonce's curiously deflating baby bump. Gosh, could it be fake? Who has ever heard of a celebrity pretending to be pregnant while some surrogate carries the baby? Such scandal. (Via ONTD).

You obviously can't fight zombies with fake guns "Brad Pitt isn't a terrorist - but he's certainly being treated like one. On Monday, a SWAT team raided a Budapest warehouse holding weapons being used in Pitt's upcoming zombie movie World War Z. "The film is already over budget and over schedule," a source tells Us Weekly. "Brad is furious." Police seized 85 fully-functional weapons, most of which were automatic, military-style assault rifles. "We can confirm that weapons were confiscated at an airport," Hajdu Janos and Zsolt Bodnar, the director and deputy director of Hungary's Anti-Terrorism Unit, tell Us. The problem, a source says, is that the guns came with paperwork claiming they were non-functional - but they're actually in working order. "This morning a private plane brought guns wrapped in a parcel from a company to an individual [in Budapest]," Janos and Bodnar add. "Guns like these are highly illegal to transport even if they were to used as stage guns, which hopefully they weren't." According to a source, Pitt, 47, isn't to blame for the prop problem. "The movie company's employees must have made a mistake bringing the guns in without the Anti-Terrorism Unit's permission."

Book deal for Mitch Winehouse AP: "Amy Winehouse’s father has a book deal. HarperCollins announced Monday that Mitch Winehouse has agreed to terms with the publisher in the U.S. and Britain for the release of “Amy, My Daughter.” HarperCollins says the book will come out in summer 2012. The publisher says Mitch Winehouse will write about everything from his daughter’s childhood to her singing career to her well-publicized struggles with substance abuse. Amy Winehouse died in July at age 27. Financial terms were not disclosed. Proceeds from the book will be donated to the Amy Winehouse Foundation, which was founded by her father and helps troubled children and young adults."

Hitched "It was a rock and roll reception for Paul McCartney and Nancy Shevell after their Sunday wedding, with a party afterward that included a special song the groom delivered for his bride. "There was a lovely song that our kid did, and they had a lovely dance together," Paul's brother, Mike McCartney, told reporters. "That was a nice little highlight of the evening."  The sibling – who served as Paul's best man – spoke outside the house in St. John's Wood where the reception took place, with such guests who include fellow Beatle Ringo Starr, Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood, the bride's second cousin Barbara Walters, and such fixtures from the '60s as model Twiggy and artist Peter Blake. On his way inside, Starr told PEOPLE that his message to the happy couple was "Peace and love," and said of the bride: "Nancy's a beautiful woman."

Sad Chicago Tribune "Authorities say a drug overdose is suspected in the death of former Weezer bass player Mikey Welsh, who was found in a Chicago hotel room Saturday afternoon. Welsh, 40, was found unresponsive on the floor after failing to check out of his room at the Raffaello Hotel, 201 East Delaware Place at 1 p.m. Saturday, according to Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Laura Kubiak. Hotel staff found him ... Welsh was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:50 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.  The cause of death was pending toxicology results, but authorities said narcotics are suspected. Police said prescription drugs were found in Welsh's hotel room along with a ziplock-type bag containing white powder, which was suspected to be heroin."

The Lion King wins box office again Lion King 3D made 22.1 million this weekend. Moneyball was second with $20.6 and Dolphin Tale was third with $20.2 million. The mini werewolf's Abduction made only $11.2 and ended up in fourth. Killer Elite rounded out the top five with $9.5. Box Office Mojo.

Splitsville Now that there's no movie to promote ... "While fans can still see Taylor Lautner and Lily Collins get hot and heavy in Abduction, the cutesy pair's real life romance has already fizzled out. And much earlier, E! News is told, than has been reported. So what went down? It appears things took a turn when Collins went off to Canada to shoot the Brothers' Grimm: Snow White, starring Julia Roberts and Armie Hammer. "[Taylor] wasn't into it, and she made all the effort," a source told E! News. "He wouldn't even visit her." And despite reports the couple called it quits just last week, E! News confirms the formerly canoodling costars actually ended their relationship almost three months ago. Ironically, in the October issue of Seventeen, Taylor told the mag: "You can feel some sort of chemistry or a connection when you are reading a script with someone for the first time, and that was totally the case with Lily."

Splitsville Now that there's nothing at all to promote... "Another month – and another breakup for Jesse James and Kat Von D. "I am not in a relationship," the tattoo artist said in a post on her Facebook page on Saturday. "And I apologize for all the 'back and forth' if it's caused any confusion." The couple, who had been planning a summer wedding, called off their engagement in July. A month later, Von D's reality show L.A. Ink was canceled. Despite the setback, she was on a personal high because the engagement was back on. So what went wrong this time? "It was clear to me that we were just on two different paths in life," Von D tells People. "My friend put it best when he said I could never be more deserving of total, noble love. And as a woman, I think it's important to know your value and never lose sight of that."

Kripke and Abrams: Together at last Ausiello: "I’m guessing NBC greenlit this thing based on the pedigree alone. As first reported by our sister site Deadline.com, Supernatural creator Eric Kripke is teaming up with J.J. Abrams on a one-hour NBC drama series billed as “an epic adventure thriller.” No other details were released, save for the title: Revolution. Kripke, who is also developing an adaptation of the DC Comic Deadman for The CW, wrote the pilot script and will exec produce along with Abrams and Bryan Burk."

Jennifer Garner sounds like a tool People: "Raised with two sisters, Jennifer Garner would love for her two daughters to have the same experience. "Three girls is a great way to grow up," the pregnant actress, 39, says during an interview on the Ellen DeGeneres Show scheduled to air Tuesday. "I'm one of three girls and my little sister is awesome." Even though Garner says, "It would be so weird to have a boy," she also thinks the experience would be "cool and different." But Garner also takes hubby Ben Affleck, 39, into consideration, acknowledging that it would be "fun" for him to have a boy because "he likes baseball and all that stuff." As for the duo's daughters – Violet, 5½, and Seraphina, 2½, "They don't really care about the gender as long as we name it what they want it to be named." And if the girls have it their way, they could end up with a sibling named "Ralphie, Frankie, Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck, or Rosemarie." "Daisy Duck Affleck," Garner says with a laugh. "I can see us going that way."
