Alec Baldwin needs a hug

"LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - U.S. actor Alec Baldwin says he has lost interest in acting and considers his film career a failure. Sorry. No. Have to stop you there. "I don't have any interest in acting anymore," Baldwin, 51, told "Men's Journal" in an interview for its December issue. Baldwin ... was nominated for an Academy Award for his role in the 2003 film "The Cooler" and stars in the upcoming movie "It's Complicated" with Meryl Streep and his Oscar co-host Steve Martin. Men's Journal quoted Baldwin as saying it was "pretty much it for him" after "30 Rock", "in a couple of years or so". He told Playboy Magazine this year he was "done" with his career in 2012 and would retire at "30 Rock"'s wrap party. "I consider my entire movie career a complete failure," he told Men's Journal. "The goal of movie-making is to star in a film where your performance drives the film, and the film is either a soaring critical or commercial success, and I never had that." Baldwin said the 1990 action film "The Hunt for Red October", in which he starred and which made more than $200 million worldwide, was successful because it was based on a popular Tom Clancy novel. Yes, Alec. Thank you very much for Hunt For Red October. A movie which I have watched or partially watched or had arguments about watching an estimated 1,379 times. Certain man-persons - I'm looking at you, sweetie - are infatuated with this Sean Connery's-as-a-Scottish-Russian movie. And every time the DVD is thrown away or burned in an unfortunate localized fire goes missing, a new one turns up. Also, this movie is on TV way too often. I hate the bleeping Hunt For Red October! Thank you, Alec Baldwin, for The Hunt For Red October. I'm happy you're retiring. Good riddance! Go sail a submarine! "And now, the movies I've been in, I never give them a moment's thought. Every movie I've ever been in, I just avoid," he said. Baldwin has expressed interest in politics in the past but did not say in the interview what he intended to do should he quit acting."

Did Lindsay Lohan call her dad a 'lunatic'

It looks like it's been another fun weekend for the Lohans and I'm sure we can expect an exciting rebuttal from Michael Lohan in about an hour and a half. People claims Lindsay tweeted all kinds of ugliness about her charming father from twitter.com/lindsaylohan. However, her verified account is twitter.com/sevinnyne6126, which hasn't been updated for about a month. Just saying.

As yet, nothing on this has been confirmed by the TV show. Still, Dina Lohan tells PEOPLE that she and Lindsay plan to prevent the tapes from coming within public earshot: "We're going to stop it from airing. He is in violation of my order of protection. My attorney sent a cease-and-desist letter, and a copy of my order of protection I have against him. He is now in violation of my criminal order of protection. He harasses me, and calls my cell phone, which he is not allowed to call." In response to Dina's disdain for Michael's very pubic dialogue about Lindsay, Michael told PEOPLE last week, "Look, I know that sometimes in the past I've said things I shouldn't have. [But right now] I have to help my child." Be that as it may, Dina says Lindsay is planning to obtain a restraining order against her father – an effort that intensified after Michael told X17 this month he was seeking conservatorship in order to get Lindsay into rehab for prescription drug abuse, and that he is behind on child support payments. Says Dina: "He is desperate and spiraling out of control."

Lil Wayne is looking at jail time

From the Daily News: "Lil Wayne is headed to the big house. The troubled rapper pleaded guilty to felony gun possession charges Thursday, agreeing to spend a year behind bars. Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Carter, 27, was hit with a pair of charges after a loaded 9-mm. gun was discovered in his tour bus two years ago. He pleaded guilty to attempted possession of a weapon in the second degree, sparing him a possible 3 1/2-to-7-year prison sentence. The surprise plea came in the middle of what was expected to be a lengthy pre-trial hearing. "Yes, sir," Carter, wearing black jeans and a white T-shirt under a blue, fur-lined coat, said when asked if he was ready to plea. Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Charles Solomon called it "a greatly reduced sentence." Carter, who is out on bail, left the court with a heavily blinged-out entourage. He will be sentenced in February."

NeNe makes Michael Lohan shut up

The Real Housewife lays a good tongue lashing on Lindsay's father, who says, "I would love to hear you shut up." That's the most fantastic comeback ever and I'm going to be using it a lot from now on. Next time someone calls me "ma'am," for example. Or next time someone to whom I've just handed over hundreds of dollars in a store, hands me my receipt and says, "no problem." Yes, I know. I've harped on that before and it has nothing to do with anything, but I have a feeling this is going to be one of those days where nothing happens and I have to write about something. This just in: Kanye West is NOT dead

I didn't even know there was a rumour about him being dead, but apparently his girlfriend was upset enough that she had to take to Twitter to give everyone a piece of her mind:

He has people like myself and his family that love him very much," she Tweeted. "Its in extreme poor taste to have that as a trendy topic. It's totally disrespectful to make up a story like this we're all human. And we all make mistakes and to say someone died cuz of a mistake is ridiculous. You wouldn't want someone to say that about you."

A sad day for Twitter and teenaged girls

"FYI Liam doesn't have a Twitter and he wants ME to delete mine with good reason," the singer Tweeted. So, her Twitter account is now gone, as is her mom's. Cyrus's sister Brandi and brother Trace are still Tweeting. But in her absence, fans have rallied – and #mileycomeback is currently Twitter's top trending topic."

"I hate it when people talk about illegal drug abuse... because it's not just drinking and illegal drugs that kill you.
