Well, so much for the odd Slava Bykov-to-the-Habs rumour.
It was fun what it lasted.
Instead, the Canadiens are expected to name Jacques Martin head coach this afternoon, possibly with Jacques Lemaire joining Martin as an associate coach.
Martin will apparently vacate his post as GM of the Florida Panthers to take the Habs job. Lemaire quit as head coach in Minnesota last month.
