Ouches Mounting

CALGARY

Good thing they got all that insurance stuff worked out.

Team Canada lost a third player to an injury concern today when Simon Gagne left camp after aggravating a groin problem during Monday's workouts. The Philadelphia forward had surgery during the summer.

He joins Ryan Getzlaf, who hasn't practiced because of hernia surgery, and goalie Cam Ward, who is dealing with ongoing back problems.

Hey Damien,
Read an article this morning about Heatley saying he would play for a Canadian team but never mentioned who, obviously not the Cens or the Oil. So if this guy is serious and wants to win a cup that pretty much leaves only the Flames and Canucks.

So my question is, how much would the flames have to give up in order to trot out a line of Heater, Olli and Iggy? Cens could sure use a solid D-man and with the recent pickup of Bouwmeester would the Flames consider moving Phaneuf to get Heatley? Would the cens even consider that a "fair" trade, I'm sure a couple filler pieces might be needed to make the numbers work.

What line do you think would be more explosive, the Cens "pizza" line of the above Flames line, both would be deadly.

To be fair Gagne injured himself at the camp while Ward and Getzlaf did not.

The uninformed might be led to believe that three players have been injured thus far. Yikes.

Hey meatballs - the games are 6 months away!!!!

Gagne's groin or Getzlaf's right gonad have no bearing on anything right now - notta, zilch, zero.

These goofballs are out playing golf in the day and at the bars at night - it's a publicity event - nothing more.
