Actor enjoying TIFF experience
Girlfriend star Evan Scheider is making the most of his first film festival.
The 31-year-old Massachusetts native, believed to be the first actor with Down syndrome to play the lead in a feature film, enjoyed a moment onstage at the street party for Bell Lightbox Sunday afternoon.
He introduced his co-star Jackson Rathbone’s (best known for the Twlight series) band, The 100 Monkeys. “They played wonderful music,” Sneider said. Girlfriend had its world premiere Sunday.
