"Julian Schnabel: Art and Film ...

Surfer "... will occupy the entire fifth floor of the AGO’s Vivian & David Campbell Centre for Contemporary Art from September 1, 2010 through January 2, 2011."

Is it me, or is that a LOT of gallery space allotted to a solo show, particularly when that show is narrowly focused on "the connections between painting and film in Schnabel’s work?" Nice piece there, though. I'll keep an open mind.

A now irrelevant painter whose over-the-top paintings and matching ego perfectly represented 80s neo-con excess. A perfect follow-up for King Tut: King Glut. Don't forget to buy Julian's CDs. He is also a burgeoning folk musician.
