This woman on why Barack Obama is a homosexual

There are lots of reasonable Republicans here, promise. But there are, indeed, lots of unreasonable Republicans. In the souvenior shop on Tuesday, Kansas delegate Vonda Wiedmer, who owns a firecracker stand, told me, unprompted, that Barack Obama is gay. Direct quote:

"I think he's a homosexual. Why else would he be messing with the military - Don't Ask Don't Tell - right before re-election? What's the investment? C'mon, why would he do something like that?"

Wiedmer was wearing a Chick-fil-A hat in support of the restaurant chain whose president spoke out against gay marriage in July. Very unsurprisingly, she also believes Obama was not actually born in Hawaii.
