Colder temperatures on the way

Torontonians be warned: Friday’s mild weather won’t last all weekend.

Temperatures won’t get as low as last weekend, when -15C weather prompted the City of Toronto to issue an extreme cold alert, but temperatures will get lower as the weekend continues.

Friday’s temperature should stick around -1C but on Saturday temperatures are expected to dip to somewhere between a high of -4C and a low of -8C.

Sunday’s high is expected to be -5C with the low dropping to -11C.

It will be even colder on Monday, with a high of -10C and a low of -17C. The city will see light snow throughout Friday and there will be a 60 per cent chance of flurries in the evening.

Light snow on Saturday won’t end until that afternoon, according to Environment Canada, and there will be a 40 per cent chance of more snow on Sunday.
