Another cloudy week ahead for Toronto
After a weekend full of patio weather and bright skies, Torontonians will probably face yet another rainy and overcast week.
The gloom began on Monday with Environment Canada was calling for rain showers becoming more likely the afternoon, with winds gusting up to 60 km/h and the possibility of thunderstorms scattered through the day.
Luckily, there may be a gap long enough for the annual fireworks to light up the sky over Lake Ontario. Bring your own lawn chair, umbrella and jacket – temperatures are expected to drop to 14 C after a daytime high of 23 C.
After Monday, temperatures should stay in the mid- to high-teens for most of the week.
Tuesday and Wednesday both bring a mix of sun and cloud, with highs of 17 C and 18 C, respectively.
Unfortunately, showers will likely return on Thursday, with a 60 per cent chance of rain on an overcast Friday and Saturday.
Sunday, however, will be warmer. Environment Canada predicts a high of 22 C, though the day may be cloudy with a 40 per cent chance of showers.
