Amazing crash footage on the 401

Here's why you don't talk on your cell phone while driving.

 

I missed this when it happened on Jan. 21 because I was away up north, driving to Nunavut. Nobody was killed when this truck, loaded with 30-tonnes of sand, crashed through the guardrail, which is astonishing in itself. The driver had a dash cam rolling, because of an ongoing dispute with an insurance company.

Starting to get excited

I look forward to the Detroit show every year. This will be the eighth time I've visited for press days, and each show always has something to surprise me. We all expect this show to be smaller, more muted than before, although last year's was almost depressing in its cutbacks. But we do know that there'll be at least 30 previews of vehicles to North America, and at least some of them should be surprises.
