Advertising as home decor?

6a00d834522c5069e2010536f989ae970c This tasty-looking bench is actually an advertisement by London, U.K., agency JWT.

While KitKat doesn't rank among my favourite chocolate bars (it doesn't even break the top 10 list), I still think this is awfully cute!

And, unlike a real chocolate bar, it would hold up really well to a warm sunny day.

I think would be a great conversation starter for a chocoholic's back deck or patio.

And, while I normally avoid things emblazoned with logos and ads, I think I can safely say I'd be happy to "Have a break" on this bench!

What do you think? Would you incorporate a piece of advertising into your home decor?

should read "SitSat" on a "KitKat"

i think the great part of this kind of piece is that it's so out there and neat that the idea supercedes any sort of dirtiness you might feel by looking to endorse a logo.

it's the same way people own old pepsi signs or miller lite neons and put them up in their den or wet bar. it's not that you specifically endorse only one kind of beer, carbonated beverage or candy bar. it's that the kitsch of the item, whether an actual relic of the 60s or just a really neat take on a contemporary seat, sets it apart from say...a gap t-shirt that has the word gap in huge letters on it (coincidentally something i would never buy or where).
