Poll: The rewards of home ownership
Yourhomers' responses in last week's poll were pretty much dead on with the results of Genworth's First-Time Homebuyer Monitor (read more here and here).
The survey found that 80 per cent of Torontonians feel the value of owning a home goes beyond the financial value. And, guess what, 80 per cent of Yourhomers also agreed with the statement.
Three per cent said they "maybe" believe the merits of owning a home go beyond the financial value, while 17 per cent answered no, the value is purely financial.
This week, we're looking at Toronto's civic worker's strike (read more here) and how it's affected your home improvement plans. Have you been stuck waiting on permits or inspections? Are you delaying due to the extra garbage it would generate? Let me know in the front page poll!
And, for more of your reading enjoyment this weekend, check out a (gasp!) restrained dining room design from Colin and Justin, a look at some retro decor with a modern twist and the optimistic real estate discussion from the Star's marketing round table.
