G20 police raid in Forest Hill
A man in his 30s was arrested in a G20-related police raid on a Forest Hill house around noon Tuesday.
Police are keeping tight-lipped on why the Elderwood Dr. house was searched or what — if anything — was seized.
Several officers converged on a home, in the Bathurst St. and Eglinton Ave. W. area, around 12:10 p.m., said Toronto police Const. Tony Vella.
It's unclear if any charges will be laid.
“The investigation is ongoing,” he said, and police won’t be releasing further information surrounding the arrest at this time.
By 9:30 p.m., a police contingent was still present in the neighbourhood surrounding the two and a half storey home, Vella said.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
Intimidate, discredit then squash any discontent! Reminds me of the OSPCA charging Toronto Humane Society board members just before an election was held... fear and intimidating anyone who has the slightest opposing view. George Orwell's book 1984 coming true and the thought police are coming soon. Unfortunately too many people naive and brainwashed to realize what's happening.

Oh Please - this is a boring to follow as the World Cup. You have wasted my tax dollars which could have been spent on better things AT HOME, turned my city into a disgrace and made it look like the European and Asia war zones and want us to know that "Baby Oil Wrestlers" (get a job) are part of the protest. GUYS - GO HOME. You will accomplish nothing, stroke your egos, smile for the photo ops, and further screw up this city. You have mad this world the mess it is in today. A meeting of you all together have only made my city a bigger mess. GET TO HELL OUT OF HERE!!!!!!!. GO HOME!!!!!!!You will have accomplished nothing but spend money which could be used for better things if you permitted it. Remember all of this at the next election. Protest that by not voting as we have no viable leaders.

So lame, so predictable. The same rent-a-mob semi-literates in their same black outfits with the same handkerchiefs over their faces and the same backpacks, same camcorders and same respirators, breaking the same Starbucks windows.
I'm sorry, Toronto, that you're having to put up with this.
