Blue is the New Green

Many car makers are adopting the colour 'blue' to indicate that their cars are 'green'. 

Don't ask me why; ask their marketing departments.

The new Honda Accord plug-in Hybrid is one such.

It even introduces itself to you by having much of the chrome trim around the grille coloured blue.

Unfortunately this looks exactly like the protective tape that comes on the door handles of your refrigerator when it is delivered to your home.

I wonder how many Accord Hybrid buyers will try to peel this off when they get their cars home?

Not that there are likely to be many of them, based on my experience in the car - but that's a tale for another day...
