I've covered a lot of amazing things, but the job always throws something new my way.
Watching Takeru Kobayashi throw down 10 pizzas in 12 minutes was quite the sight. To see Canadian guy Furious Pete go up against him made the event.
The prize for the first place winner was $1500 plus a pizza a day for a year and a reserved parking spot.
Brendan Girvan and a crew of Pizza makers prepare 66 pizzas for the competition held at PIE in Barrie, Ontario.
66 Queen Pies were made for the competition The Queen Pie is tomato, fresh basil and mozzarella.
Kris Kross prepares to load a pizza into the oven, Kross would also compete in the competition.

Have eaten there, and those pies are are gourmet-style, thin (more like a cracker-style crust), with not a lot of sauce or cheese. Although he won the competition here, it doesn't stack up the same as a more commercial pizza like the big pizza chains. What a waste of food! Are these guys bulimic?

Entertaining I'm sure, but even more so, it's idiotic.
'Pity the fools"

On the front page of Toronto Star along with "10 Pizzas, 12 Minutes," is an article "Sick, poor left out of food grant talks" about the disadvantaged who can't afford enough food.
Maybe these human 'garburators" could have eaten maybe a few less pizzas at a time when not only the GTA poor are hurting but also when millions around the world, especially children, are literally dying to have a single slice of pizza.
These gluttons should consider themselves lucky to have been born into a part of the world that doesn't suffer such hunger calamities. I'm sure that we as a society could find other diversions to entertain us while half the world is starving to death.
Shame on extreme eaters. The site of you stuffing your faces is disgusting in more ways than you'll probably ever realize.

Think what you want, but most people crave entertainment and with that in mind the more bizzare the greater the value.
Yes people are starving out there in other parts of the world, but consider this the Super Powers around the world donate (give away) money to these third world countries who do what with it. I'll tell you they pad there pockets.
So stop being a bleeding liberal and stand up for whats right and if in this great country we call Canada people wish to watch exhibitions such as a pizza eating contest then let them be.
Ask yourself this when you look in the mirror, what have I done lately to make a positive change in someone else?
