Each year is busy, but, toss an Olympics and the G20 on top of that and there was a lot of stuff to shoot!


February 12, 2010  A snowboarder enters through the rings during the Opening Ceremonies for  the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games at BC Place.

February 20, 2010 American Julia Mancuso crosses the finish line in the Ladies' Super-G at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games at the Whistler Creekside.

February 24, 2010 The first of 32 shots to get my Switzerland's Jonas Hiller was a shot that he batted into his own net, thankfully time had run out before the puck crossed the line as Switzerland played the United States of America in hockey at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games at the Canada Hockey Place.

February 23, 2010 Joannie Rochette, breaks down as soon as her routine is over. Rochette skated despite the sudden passing of her mother Thérèse Rochette, of heart failure shortly after she arrived in Vancouver during the ladies short program at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games at the Pacific Coliseum.


June 26, 2010 The window at the Starbucks at Queen and John is broken during a protest of  G20 Summit.

June 26, 2010 Falun Gong and Falun Dafa practioners protest peacefully in the rain as a variety of protests directed at the G20 Summit are held at Queen's Park.

June 26, 2010 Anarchists try to block photographers, they would later set a police car on fire at the intersection og King and Bay during a protest of  G20 Summit.

June 26, 2010 A security Guard rescues a customer from the ATM area of the TD back at Queen and Bay after Anarchists broke the window.

June 26, 2010 A woman is overcome by emotion on Yonge Street after violence broke out in protests for  G20 Summit.

June 26, 2010 A protester, Kirk Warrington, is overcome my the smoke after attempting to put out a fire in a police car at Queen Street West near Spadina during a protest of  G20 Summit.

June 26, 2010 Protesters burn the second police car at Queen and Spadina. The two cars were abandoned after being damaged, protesters burned one car, police moved in and cleared the area and then left the other car unattended during a protest.

March 12, 2010 A blue ribbon flutters in the wind as mourners including thousands of police officers begin to show up at the funeral for OPP Const. Vu Pham who was shot by Fred Preston in a traffic stop in Wingham..

April 5, 2010  Season Two-third place finisher on Canadian Idol Jacob Hoggard sings to the crowd as the British Columbia band Hedley, made up of Jacob Hoggard – vocals, Tommy Mac – bass, Dave Rosin – guitar and Chris Crippin – drums play at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto.

April 13, 2010  VALE INCO continues to dump slag, the molten byproduct of the smelting process. Members of USW 6500 had been striking between Vale INCO and USW 6500 entered the ninth month  in Sudbury.

June 4, 2010   Gerry Tremblay has a smoke near the Copper Cliff Smelter entrance as picketers on the graveyard shift settle in as VALE INCO and USW Local 6500 resume negociations in a strike that nears a year in Sudbury.

 David Sugarman of the Ontario Science Centre demonstates a torch created by flour which is part of his show Science Magic, the demonstration the centre gives to kids this summer lured in by the Harry Potter exhibit.

July 18, 2010 While the weather cooled a little, the dancing was hot as Amin Kalbasi and Kaylyn Morton salsa during The Sixth Annual Salsa on St. Clair Street Festival which featured live music, dance lessons and Latin Flavours of food.

July 23, 2010 A man who allegedly entered the Swiss Chalet at Kipling and the Queensway is taken into custody by the Emergency Task Force.

July 25, 2010  Buster, a four-month-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel chases some bubbles as the 22nd Beaches Jazz festival winds up at Kew Gardens.

October 14, 2010 Rocco Rossi's team begin to clean up their  campaign headquarters on Avenue Road after he pulled out of the mayoral race.

October 21, 2010   Under heavy police protection and shackled and cuffed Russell Williams, the former base commander at CFB Trenton leaves at the Belleville court  after having been declared guilty of killing two women, sexually assaulting two others and to a string of fetish break, enter and thefts And sentenced 25/murder. 10 years/sexual assault and one year/break and enter.

November 16, 2010  Children reach feed a pair of Ringtail Monkeys in the petting zoo as Thousands of Muslims gathered at Exhibition Place in Toronto on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 to celebrate Eid Al-Adha, which commemorates the end of the annual Hajj (the pilgrimage in Mecca, Saudi Arabia). This Eid, known as the “Festival of Sacrifice”, commemorates Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son Ismael, as an act of obedience to God. The Eid Al-Adha celebrations had Eid Prayers in the Queen Elizabeth Building and followed with a festival in the Better Living Centre in Toronto.

April 4, 2010  Chris Bosh lays on the ground after missing a tip shot to win the game as the Toronto Raptors lose to the Golden State Warriors 113-112 at the buzzer at the Air Canada Centre.

May 25, 2010 After having given away his jersey, shin guards and shorts AC Fiorentina forward Stevan Jovetic (8) poses for a picture as Juventis loses a friendly against Italian League rival AC Fiorentina.

June 2, 2010  The speedy Tampa Bay Rays break up another double play as Ben Zobrist sends Aaron Hill flying in the ninth inning as the Toronto Blue Jays play the Tampa Bay Rays.

 July 7, 2010 It was almost as hot as three-year-old Cole Thurgur's game at the Valley Tennis Club, the club came in as the hottest place in the city.

November 7, 2010 Buffalo Bills safety Donte Whitner (20) denies Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte (22) the end zone  in second half action as the Buffalo Bills lose to the Chicago Bears 22-19 in NFL action at the Rogers Centre.

Steve - These images are absolutely stunning, and the emotions captured in some of them incredibly powerful! Excellent work - congratulations.

Steve, thank you for your excellent work throughout the year and posting your favourite images for us to enjoy again. I especially liked the Falun Gong and boxing photos- truly great captures! Also, thank you for not blocking the exif data on the images so techies like me can see the equipment you used for these photos.
