September 9, 2011 - Sailboats race on Lake Ontario as part of the 2011 Beneteau First 36.7 North American Championship. 

January 1, 2011 - Ken Nott of Oakville exits a 2 degree Lake Ontario in most of his hockey gear during the 26th Annual Courage Polar Bear Dip at Coronation Park in Oakville. The annual cold water plunge raises money for World Vision to provide clean water in developing countries.

January 10, 2011 - Christian Cadieux, right, owner of Bed Bugs Bite, and  Jeff Lake fumigate a matress as part of their process to get rid of bedbugs.

March 25, 2011 -  Mohamed Ashareh poses at his Malton home. The 23-year-old university infiltrated a Somali pirate cell - by himself - and made a film about it. The product will be shown at Hot Docs.

January 3, 2011 - Team Sweden Anton Lander sits on the ice after failing to score in a shoot out during their semi-final game against Team Russia at the 2011 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championships. Russia won the game and advanced to the gold medal game against Canada.

September 20, 2011 - Philadelphia Flyers Zac Rinaldo scores on Toronto Maple Leafs goalie James Reimer during period pre-season NHL action. 

October 3, 2011 - Maple Leafs GM Brian Burke watches under championship banners during practice at Mastercard Centre. 

March 5, 2011 Toronto Maple Leafs Mike Brown is checked into the boards by Chicago Blackhawks Chris Campoli during third period action at the Air Canada Centre. The Blackhawks defeated the Maple Leafs 5-3. 

August 12, 2011 - Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Brandon Morrow drops a fly ball hit off the bat of Los Angeles Angels Torii Hunter during the sixth inning of MLB action at the Rogers Centre. Morrow was charged with and error on the play.

August 19, 2011 - TTC streetcar derailed Friday morning at the intersection at College St. and Spadina Ave. The TTC worked for hours geting the southbound streetcar back on rails to resume traffic flow.

 September 14, 2011 - Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Luke Schenn keeps his eye on a loose puck while on the bench. Leafs players held a pre-camp skate at the Mastercard Centre. 

July 28, 2011 - Canadian team rugby player Brooke Hilditch, 31, of Mississauga, has refused to pay $2,700 in order to compete for Canada at the international Nations Cup in Oakville.  She is shown playing for the Yeomen Lions against the Toronto Scottish at Sunnybrook Park.

August 30, 2011 - A young boy watches as men pray during the Muslim Association of Canada's Eid celebration at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.  Eid Al-Fitr marks an end the holy month of Ramadan.

September 28, 2011  - Sophia Siddiqi, a middle school teacher and mother of three, is photographed with her reflection in a framed mirror at her Milton home.

October 3, 2011 - Shannon Moroney wrote book about her ordeal - her husband of one month kidnapped and sexually assaulted two women. The book is about Shannon's grief, rage and journey - she's now social justice advocate. 

October 20, 2011 - Portrait of artist David Hockney with his iPad at the Toronto Park Hyatt Hotel. 

November 19, 2011 - Protestor in a Guy Fawkes mask prior to Evict Ford rally put on by Occupy Toronto at St. James Park.

November 23, 2011 - Police remove a protestor from a campsite within Occupy Toronto at St. James Park.

Thanks for the caption under photo # 17... for a minute there I thought it was Justin Trudeau

Hi. I am a printer in central Ontario near Minden. My number is 705-489-2036. Around Oct. 27 you took a pic of the New Homes staff members in front of a Linotype machine. I have a Linotype like this and wonder if anyone knows how to use this typesetter. Could you have someone call me? I would be happy to help if needed. Thanks Bob Mann.
