Glen and his wife Edith in their Aurora Condo.  The 66-year-old man with Parkinson’s disease had to become his wife’s caregiver after she was denied homecare. She has battled cancer and a broken back fairly recently and is now her husband's caregiver.  Glen and Edith Quait have seen both the best and the worst that Ontario’s home-care system has to offer. February 4, 2011.

Senkus looks after her elderly parents who were denied home care and at the same time is caring for her husband Al (61) who has leukemia as well as a host of other medical problems.  Al gets some health care but not enough.  Vida is run off her feet and frustrated with the system.  She is seen in her home north of Barrie looking after her husband whom she cannot leave alone at home. January 14, 2011.

Liam in his hospital room at McMaster Children's Hospital. In 1987, Ross Gibson was diagnosed with cancer. He was 11. Twenty-three years later, his 18-month old son, Liam, was diagnosed with a very rare, very deadly form of the disease. The same doctors who treated Gibson are now treating his son. Liam goes to sleep clutching the same "lucky pillowcase" that Gibson used for comfort in 1987.   September 22, 2011.
