COLIN McCONNELL - Memorial on Unwin Avenue for Leanne Freeman, prostitute who was shot dead in the Portlands near Tommy Thompson Park.

RICK EGLINTON - Sevan Tosun of AST Jewellery deals with a lot of couples looking for the perfect engagement ring. Tosun shows some of his handy work with a ring that he has created set with 125 diamonds  and is valued at approximately $4,500.00. Tosun learned his craft from his family in his homeland of Armenia.

BERNARD WEIL - Shawn Vella, 10, of Cookstown, gives Shaynee a hug while at SickKids Hospital. Shaynee is a trained wheaten terrier therapy dog which visits children, once a week, at SickKids with her volunteer owner, Michelle Pincus.

STEVE RUSSELL - Brendan Rowland controls the head of Topthorn.  Topthorn and Joey are the main horses in the play War Horse. Three actors operate the horse. Rowland is the "Head" and he is responsible for all the horses head movements as well as the ear and mouth movements. He also does the horses' dialogue. Two actors are inside the bamboo frame of the horse. The "Heart" is responsible for the front legs and the breathing for the horse and the "Hind" is responsible for the hind legs and tail.War Horse, will run at the Princess of Wales Theatre starting February 10, 2012.

STEVE RUSSELL - Sergeant Ryan Russell's badge number sits on a chest of drawers in his home. Sgt. Ryan Russell was killed on duty a year ago by a man driving a snow plow.

RICHARD LAUTENS - A man takes a stealth picture of Kat Brightwell, 18, who has a TTC sticker on the outside of her underwearduring Toronto's fifth annual no-pants day.  Approximately 100 people hopped on the subway at the Museum stop, took their pants off and rode the train to Eglinton station and back again. The whole thing is an effort to bring some humour to the city.  Up to 50 cities take part in the event.

STEVE RUSSELL - Mayor Rob Ford wipes his face during debate as Toronto City Council debated and voted in favour by a 23-21 vote on a motion put forward by  councillor Josh Colle to take to 15 million dollars of the surplus to prevent some cuts in Toronto.

LUCAS OLENIUK - Protestors squared off with police in front of Toronto city hall after a demonstration against city budget cuts turned violent.

RICHARD LAUTENS - Brian Burke greets Police Sgt. Jim Patterson riding Moose, a horse donated to the mounted unit by Burke and given the name Moose. It was the nickname Burke had for his son. Toronto's PFLAG presented its distinguished "Ally Award" to Brian Burke, who added his voice to Toronto PFLAG's message of the ongoing struggle to stop homophobia and bullying.

COLIN McCONNELL - Duma, the incredible waterskiing Jack Russell terrier takes to the lake at the Toronto International Boat Show.

RICHARD LAUTENS - Scotty Newlands sings the anthem with members of each of the Canadian Armed forces who were out for the ceremonial face-off as The Toronto Maple Leafs took on the New York Rangers.

STEVE RUSSELL - Dion Phaneuf takes the puck off the face late in front of Nik Antropov in third period action as the Toronto Maple Leafs shut out the Winnipeg Jets 4-0.
