Ralph Armstrong’s family has farmed this land inMelancthon since 1853, raising cattle and sheep. Three different representatives from the Highland Companies offered seven times to buy land from Armstrong and wife Mary Lynne, but were refused. “It’s in us, it’s what you gotta do,” said Armstrong.
