Pippa Middleton can't escape spotlight

There’ll be more than one Middleton at the altar come April 29. While Kate is the one who’ll get all the camera time, her sister/maid of honour Pippa is no slouch at attracting attention.

Pippa Middleton In fact, there’s one celebrity watcher, Polly Hudson, who figures Prince William grabbed the wrong member of the Middleton clan.

“Sorry, but someone’s got to say it. She’s much better than Kate,” Hudson wrote in her Daily Mirror column as she extolled the virtures of the fun-loving 27-year-old.

Pippa (short for Philippa) is “the dream princess,” Hudson purrs. “The Fergie who’d be able to hack it long term.”

Hudson is not alone in giving Pippa her props. Most observers have thought of Pippa as a girl on the move, one who has never had to live in her older sister's shadow. In 2008, Tatler magazine bypassed all the other high-society eligibles in the U.K. and named her “the Number 1 Society Singleton.”

It’s obvious she has never been one to shy away from a gathering. Last week she was at a club with a few other notable noble singles – Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, and Harry’s on-again girlfriend, Chelsy Davy. Over the years, Pippa’s  boyfriends have been equally high on the social ladder. Recently, she has been linked to Alex Loudon, 30, an Eton man and former England cricket player who could well end up being Pippa’s date for her sister’s wedding.

Outside of the nightlife, though, there’s still a serious entrepreneur in Pippa.

She has an English degree from Edinburgh University, does lots of charity work, and is a central player in her parents’ party supply business, Party Pieces. Last summer she launched a The Party Times, the party-planning arm of Party Pieces.

See, it’s not all about fun and games. … On second thought, maybe it is.

Speaking of fun, the chatter goes on over what kind of musical entertainment there will be for the various receptions. One suggestion has been DJ Sam, aka Sam Young, who first met William in 2007 and has spun music for plenty of high profile clients.

Speaking to ABC News, Sam wouldn't comment on if he's been asked, but did reveal that Kate is the better of the two on the dance floor (no surprise there). He also offered his own top 5 playlist for the couple: 1. Michael Jackson - "Billie Jean" 2. Prince - "Kiss" 3. Stevie Wonder - "Superstition, I Wish" 4. Kings of Leon - "Sex on Fire" 5. Rolling Stones - "Brown Sugar."

Any other suggestions out there?

"Grabbed the wrong Middleton". Two young people apparently fell in love. Suggesting that the match may have been improved if, perhaps, the male had philandered about after having the woman he loved, and with of all people her sister, ignores the choices and chemistry involved and is, quite frankly, tacky.

no he definitely chose the right sister, Kate, the one he loves...Pippa definitely doesn't outshine Kate...what a bunch of meanspirited bs!!!
